I think you're confusing synthol with steroid use.

Synthol is essentially a oil injected under the muscle tissue, similar to the idea of a breast augmentation; It is not actually muscle tissue.

You won't see increased vascularity from synthol use. However, low BF%, low water retention, muscle engorgement after a gym session and some supplements can increase vascularity.

Steroid use won't cause your muscles to 'explode' in a puss-y mess.

I think you are talking about Greg Valentino; he seems to be the most famous case of synthol use after that BBC documentary about him.

He was also on steroids, yes. However, the disproportionately large biceps came from synthol use (only in his arms) on top of that.

If you search pictures of Arnie in his prime, you'll see steroid use doesn't necessarily create a disproportionate body (unless of course you only do upper or lower body excersices, then again, not doing certain exercises creates a disproportionate body even without steroid use)

PS. It's quiet easy to see the difference between steroid use and synthol use after a few google image searches
