I was expecting misogyny in this thread but can't believe how overwhelming it is. Did the people at the rally overreact? Kind of? Maybe? I honestly don't even really think so. Women get flashed on subways every day and don't have a big group with them to stand up for themselves. This guy went to a rally against SEXUAL ASSAULT, climbed a massive structure and flashed his dick at the entire rally. Do you think women who deal with that shit on a daily basis are going to let one guy put a whole group down? I don't give a fuck if he was baiting them, the real pain for a lot of women is in silence and just sitting there and taking that shit because they feel powerless to stop it. They weren't whooping his ass, they were yelling at him for being a huge fucking dipshit. Who cares if he got off on it or if he's a troll? I mean, the guy is obviously flashing his dong to get them angry. He's kind of saying "fuck feminism," which is a lot like saying "fuck gender equality" if you actually know what feminism is about. He may not exactly MEAN it, but if he doesn't then he's just trolling and still revealing his attitude toward gender equality.

"Feminism" is not about man-hating, except for when it's used by stupid people. Actual feminism is about letting people do what they want, without people judging them because of their gender, and it applies to men and women.
