The difference between reddit and 4chan is that half the posters have already missed the point of that 4chan thread and are just posting any gif from any commercial. I was under the impression that it was just cheesy gifs from crappy advertisements.

4chan is butthurt about nothing. I currently have two of the highest scoring posts on /r/wheredidthesodago and I didn't get them from 4chan. I didn't even know about that thread. I don't even browse 4chan. These gifs are easy to find on the internet. I witnessed the birth of this subreddit from the thread /u/Fiederkatz linked above, and I am proud to be a part of its inception.
