That system seems somewhat flawed in that case. If you can sin and get away with it. What would then be the point of classifying an action a sin then? Is the prerequisite for hell the severity of the sin?

Guilt. Note that the church doesn't outlaw or prohibit sin, but instead says that sinning is human nature and that you must ask for forgiveness. But you can't do it on your own, you have to come here to our place and do it our way, because only our way is the right way to do it. It's a control mechanism to ensure participation, vilify totally natural things and then offer a way to indemnify the act.

No, it's more of the guilt of doing things you were told not to making you come into the church to ask for forgiveness for those actions. The church knows people are going to break the rules, they just give them a get out of jail free card. The mass murderer who repents and truly accepts Christ as his savior right before the injection gets a golden ticket to Heaven, whereas Bill Gates, the man who has donated billions to help his fellow man, gets eternal hellfire because he hasn't accepted Christ as his savior. That's a system that I have a VERY hard time calling moral.

Reddit is really the last place I want to get into a discussion about Christianity, so let me just say this: You are free to believe whatever you believe and that's fine, but from a Christian, or more specifically, my own viewpoint, human beings are not expected to be perfect or be without sin. The only human that was without sin was Christ, and he died for us because we are sinners. It's not as simple as says you can "sin and get away with it" but we do and will sin because we are not perfect, but it is through our relationship with Christ and with God that we are still allowed to go to Heaven.
