/r/depression here and, actually, depression is a lot like cancer.

Cancer eats away at your body, slowly killing you from the inside. Your body turning against itself, actively attacking you and weakening you until you can't go on.

Depression is a cancer of the mind, that slowly kills you from the inside. Your mind turns against itself, actively attacking your reality and weakening your opinion of yourself and the world until you cannot go on. You can oftentimes be physically drained and tired until the point where you can't actually get out of bed, or you sleep for 20 hours a day. It drains you, physically. I've slept for 24 hours straight before, without any sort of medication causing it. It's a very physical thing that stems from a very mental thing. It's a real disease, that oftentimes leads to death. Maybe not as directly as cancer does, but in the same way that some cancer patients get to the point where they give up and stop fighting back, or trying to fight back.

Even still, I think this girl is something else. At a young age, she went online to be a camwhore because she enjoyed the attention. Then she got bored of this and started sleeping around with people, and met up with this guy she knew was dating someone else at the time, and then got pissy because he stayed with his girlfriend. Then she went back to being a camwhore again even though she knew how stupid it was after last time, because she wanted the attention.

She abused people and tried to play victim after things went wrong. The guy who 'stalked' her was a douche that deserves whatever gets gets from people, since his personal information got leaked to the internet, but that doesn't make her any less in the wrong. You don't show your underage body to the internet, then cry about them seeing it, then turn around and do it again, then be a whore, then try to act like you're a victim and expect people to still care. What she did had nothing to do with depression and everything to do with being a terrible excuse for a person.

Oh, and I like how she was stalked on facebook, but then continued to use facebook because she loved the attention.
