Man, I've had a love-hate relationship with Big Tex since the first time I saw him when I was 5. The first time he spoke it scared me so bad that I refused to walk that way. A few nights later I had a dream that him and one of my toy dinosaurs were fighting at the State Fair and completely wrecked the place. I woke up and threw up in my parents bathroom.

I haven't been to the fair in a few years, but the last time I went, it was almost like I conquered my demons. I will miss this incarnation of the big fella, though.
