The real question should be: What the fuck is 'Praxes'?

[–]ILL_Show_Myself_Out 1 point2 points ago

I thought it was just a stuck-up word for "practice."

Ninja edit:practice, as distinguished from theory; application or use, as of knowledge or skills.

Zynga, harbinger of dumbasses.

[–]pseudolobster 5 points6 points ago

Goddammit Zynga. I hope Hasbro fucking murders you in court.

I'm sure the planet's fine, it's the retards upon it that are the problem.

This is just business.

It is my understanding that they can't run into any issues with Hasbro as long as they don't call it "Scrabble". The only trademarks Hasbro has on this are the word "Scrabble" and the board layout itself. Words with friends actually has a different setup for its bonus scoring tiles. It has a Diamond pattern rather than Scrabble's star-burst pattern. This is an unnecessary justification as it is still technically legal without changing the pattern so long as it isn't exactly the same. Since they can easily bypass the Trademark and Copyright issues, they can go ahead an make it because the patent for Scrabble is long gone.

Still though, if it was a choice between this and Scrabble, why the hell would you not choose Scrabble?

Pretty sure Hasbro is making it. "Scrabble sales are down. What should we do? Rebrand that shit."

Edit: here's a link.

That would make so much sense.

if hasbro was apple, zynga would be so screwed
