It is faked ... Sparks off a rubber tire (hopefully dual compound), going in the wrong direction of travel (tire is spinning counter clockwise, but the sparks are flying to the right), and ... the rear reflector/plate holder on the CBR has no influence on the spark spray ... like the sparks are shopped over the actual picture.

[–]DinosaurHelmet 1 point2 points ago

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.

Even if she was pushing the metal seat down into the exhaust there is no movement between those, and therefore no sparks.

[–]Basbhat 0 points1 point ago

Just a shitload of heat

[–]HandShoes 1 point2 points ago

Also the sparks end quite abruptly.

[–]LuigiBrotha 1 point2 points ago

I'm just surprised the bike isn't making a wheelie.

[–]Makin_Dollas_Rain -2 points-1 points ago

That's what I came to say, I guess upvote for you!

[–]GetBigOrDie 2 points3 points ago

Here comes honey boo boo.

[–]fingers 2 points3 points ago

Stop posting pictures of me on the internet. K thanks.

[–]Tebasaki 3 points4 points ago

When I met her, sparks flew.

[–]MajorMol 1 point2 points ago

Well at least if they get in an accident the airbags are already deployed...

[–]vrenwick 1 point2 points ago

fuck physics!

[–]GunJack422 2 points3 points ago

Makes it look like the motorcycle is crying lol

[–]Tripsy_mcfallover 2 points3 points ago

Why does the tail of the sparks just stop? It makes it look shopped.

[–]slayerman 10 points11 points ago

Also the fact that the sparks are flying in the wrong direction?

[–]mochaman26 6 points7 points ago

And it's rubber

[–]AhhhClem 2 points3 points ago

They are riding backwards. Yea, that's the ticket.

[–]stormageddon007 -2 points-1 points ago

How long do you have to observe the nature and motion of sparks to know when they are going in the wrong direction?

[–]GrizzBear97 0 points1 point ago

They go with the direction of the object

[–]Ellimis 2 points3 points ago

Nevermind the fact that it actually is shopped

[–]ericvwgolf 0 points1 point ago

Shopped, yes... still sorry for the motorcycle. It must have been Christine in a former life and is getting its Karma in spades.

[–]PaulMcGannsShoes 0 points1 point ago

I get the whole 'hahaha lets laugh at fat people' circle jerk, but that's just plain unsafe. Jesus, that's just fucking dangerous.

[–]IamGrimReefer 0 points1 point ago

it's fake and it's a repost. welcome to the internet!

[–]doilikeyou 0 points1 point ago

Reddit, where peoples hate of fatties overrides their critical skills in identifying a repost fake image.

[–]kwyjibo1 0 points1 point ago

But but rubber doesn't spark and the sparks are breaking the laws of physics.

[–]iLikesandwich 0 points1 point ago

[–]Durpadur 0 points1 point ago

Even if its fake, just look at that disgusting waste of human flesh. That fatass should just kill herself for fucks sake. Diabetes is too slow man.

[–]travisthegr8 0 points1 point ago

So much weight he has both hands on the throttle

[–]wish_you_were_here 0 points1 point ago

kudos to the driver for being able to manage the bike with that kind of weight on the back...seriously...

[–]GrizzBear97 0 points1 point ago

With one hand

[–]Basbhat -1 points0 points ago

Once you're moving on a motorcycle it wants to stay up.

If it had cruise control he could let go of the bars completely and the bike would drive itself because physics.

[–]GrizzBear97 0 points1 point ago

I knew the first part but I didn't know it to that extent I thought it was like a regular bike where you have to balance yourself

[–]Basbhat 0 points1 point ago

Nope.

I'm sure you're familiar with the concept of a gyroscope well. Motorcycles have 3.

The 2 wheels (spinning quite quickly) and my engine rotating anywhere between 4 and 10 thousand times per second.

This gyroscopic effect is what keeps bikes upright. And why you'll see riders get knocked off yet the bike still drives away on its own.

In essence turning a motorcycle and leaning the rider is "trying" to knock it over. The gyroscopic effect keeps it wanting to stand back up.

Motorcycles really are a marvel of engineering. Everything about them right down to the tires

[–]GrizzBear97 0 points1 point ago

That's amazing! I never knew there was so much physics. I thought I was just a streamlined bike going really fast

[–]Basbhat 0 points1 point ago

Oh no. Much more goes into it than that.

They're incredibly interesting machines. They range from the simple to the high tech space ships. And they're quite amazing.

Personally I just find them beautiful and the act of riding them transcendent.

I've heard them described as "prosthetic limbs" for speed freaks and in a way they are. It's amazing how isolated you are in a car without even realizing it.

My favorite description has to be the Italians. The Italian word for a motorcycle rider is their word for centaur. I think that's an apt description

[–]GrizzBear97 0 points1 point ago

It's amazing how much you learn on reddit

[–]Basbhat 0 points1 point ago

And gonna have to give him shit for the no helmets/gear. I'm pretty sure putting a whale on the back ups your chances of eating asphalt by atleast %100

[–]wish_you_were_here 0 points1 point ago

thats true. I'm in PA, and we see so many bikers without helmets, it totally escaped my consciousness. On a total tangent... it really pisses me off that we have no helmet law, but get fined if we dont wear a seatbelt. Can someone tell me the logic in that?

[–]Basbhat 0 points1 point ago

bikers aren't a significant enough group for anyone to care if we die.

and they're primarily foolish males. (so the stereotype goes) who are tempting fate anyway and probably deserve to die for riding such an abomination (you would be surprised how many people have this attitude that I've personally come across)

i'd bet thats why

[–]wish_you_were_here 0 points1 point ago

and their girlfriends, dont forget... who don't want their hair ruined by a helmet, but don't mind having their face ruined by road rash.

[–]Basbhat 0 points1 point ago

I live in ca so helmet laws mean she's wearing a helmet.

I've got my bike setup forever alone style though right now. Solos racing cowl. No passenger seat or pegs. Since I don't have a girlfriend and its not worth the hassle of carrying the extra helmet for randos who want a ride.

[–]wish_you_were_here 0 points1 point ago

my dad taught us growing up to always wear one anyway. I don't drive, but whenever I'm on the back, despite the law, I'm wearing a helmet. If they don't have a helmet, I'm not riding. Regardless.... lol... it still defies logic that I get fined $60 if I get caught without my seatbelt. The odds of me dying in a car accident without a seatbelt, compared to the odds of me dying in a bike wreck without a helmet... seems astronomical to me. Plus... I would be ROYALLY pissed if I was the car driver involved in an accident with a biker who died from injuries he would have survived if he'd have been wearing a helmet. I dont need that guilt on me bc some jackass thinks he looks cooler or likes the feel of the wind in his hair. Am I looking at this wrong?

[–]Basbhat 0 points1 point ago

I was taught the same.

But as the rider. I know if I'm gonna go 4 blocks to the store. That I won't eat it. It would take a colossal bike failure or a car crushing me to make me get hurt.

So in those cases. It would be nice to not be obligated as it is a hassle.

And maybe people should just not hit motorcycles if they're worried about people dying? Sorry. I have very little sympathy for the person who kills a motorcyclist through their negligence and rationalizes it by "well he wasn't wearing a helmet" well the truth is he wasn't racing and the chance of him falling we're slim to none until this guy comes along with 2 tons of steel and then goes "sorry mate I didn't see you" yeah well open your fucking eyes. (AND GET OFF THE PHONE!)

[–]wish_you_were_here 0 points1 point ago

When I drive, I am acutely aware of bikes on the road bc of the amount of time I've spent around them, and it pisses me off seeing them without helmets. It definitely ups the ante for me, driving my "2 tons of steel", to see a completely bare melon doing 90, weaving in and out of traffic, coming up on my rear view or along the side of my car. People make really REALLY bad decisions while driving, for sure. When a person on a motorcycle makes a bad call and goes down, he is totally unprotected from the elements, my car, the street, etc. So again... human error being as unpredictable as it is, if I am not allowed to take my own life into my hands by removing my seat belt, a biker should not be allowed to take their life into their hands by not wearing a helmet. I mean... if they want to, thats fine. I just think in comparision, the law should not make me scramble to remember to put on my seatbelt before I get halfway through town bc the traffic cop is gonna catch me driving "dangerously", and fine me.
