Andy will have an undie scene. It's his calling card.

[–]ohstatic 52 points53 points ago

I can't wait until Stanley crushes Angela's head with an ATM.

[–]vanofjelly 243 points244 points ago

Dunder Methlin.

[–]hulashakes 26 points27 points ago

I'm giving you an upvote, because I can tell you put time into this, and I feel you should at least get some appreciation for your effort.

[–]LifeBeginsAt10kRPM 11 points12 points ago

Also, Dwight

[–]lsm23 32 points33 points ago

you know that new side business Jim started with his buddy? yeah they're cooking...

[–]trollCHEEFtin 2 points3 points ago

I don't think Pam and Skyler would get along.. not sayin' that's a bad thing.

[–]nopurposeflourTIGHT! TIGHT! TIGHT! 81 points82 points ago

I predict Dwight throwing a pizza on a roof in the episode...

[–]Lampmonster1 38 points39 points ago

They panicked when they realized how hard that scene was actually going to be to film. They had no idea if Walt would ever be able to get it up there. He got it on the first take. BC is the man. If you watch that scene you can see him do a little bit of a double take.

[–]steady_riot 19 points20 points ago

Man, it never struck me when watching that scene, but that couldn't have happened more perfectly. He just throws the box up, the pizza slides out, lands on the roof and the box falls to the ground. What the fuck?

[–]th3house 2 points3 points ago

What if the pizza had been cut though? Not as cool to just have slices thrown all over the place.

[–]steady_riot 0 points1 point ago

Fortunately they were saving time on cutting the pizza, and passing the savings onto the roof.

[–]darkrabbit71399.1% pure 13 points14 points ago

That was crazy.

I actually thought the double take was in the script. I mean... I'm pretty sure we'd all do the same thing if we realized we actually managed to throw a pizza onto our own roof, so I saw the reaction as natural.

[–]Lampmonster1 24 points25 points ago

It did fit perfectly. Even if you were pissed you'd probably still have a "Oh shit, look at that" moment.

[–]dusthimself 0 points1 point ago

See I always thought the pizza landing on the roof was by accident, and they just went with it.

[–]SatchmoPhipps 4 points5 points ago

Every time I see perfectly delicious looking food like that used in a show, I secretly wish that the crew bought a good amount extra to eat. Because seeing entire pizzas wasted in their prime keeeeills me.

[–]ReyechMac 0 points1 point ago

I imagine they probably have a stack of them for re-takes, and then they get it in the first shot and they're like "yay! pizza party!"

[–]RswanyRedditium 1 point2 points ago

B-but.. this isn't the first episode Cranston has directed.

D:

[–]redd_what 12 points13 points ago

Dwight will follow a fly around the office the whole episode

[–]electricbouguereau 2 points3 points ago

Which will be a necessary distraction from his own impending doom.

[–]Auxtin 12 points13 points ago

He was also on 30 Rock last week, he played Kenneth's step dad.

[–]atizzyBreakfast. 2 points3 points ago

I loved it

[–]jetmax25 2 points3 points ago

I had no fucking clue 30 rock started up again already this season.... and i love 30 rock

[–]quasihighbrow 1 point2 points ago

I couldn't have been happier that he played Ron.

[–]Auxtin 1 point2 points ago

It actually took me a little bit to realize that was him, he fit into the character so well.

[–]quasihighbrow 1 point2 points ago

He genuinely did. After all the years I've spent imagining "my mom's friend Ron" he was perfect. I saw him in Argo just last week and am truly amazed at what a versatile actor he is!

[–]ParkerEH 9 points10 points ago

[–]A-Pod 137 points138 points ago

I hate that red head. She makes the show terribly unfunny.

[–]goal2004 19 points20 points ago

She's channeling a female David Brent at this point. She was a bit over the top in the last season, but in this new one she's really put down and is no longer unbearable.

[–]Endyo 7 points8 points ago

I thought she'd actually be gone after last season and I was thoroughly disappointed she remained. There's plenty of depth in the original cast and stories to flesh out, but instead they keep throwing her in there to be annoying.

[–]SphericalOrbit 62 points63 points ago

She's a lot better in Doctor Who

[–]Simonzi 14 points15 points ago

I don't watch the Office, so I can't say if she's better or worse there, but Catherine Tate killed Doctor Who for me. Earlier this year I was out of work from surgery for close to a month, and pretty much bed ridden for 2 weeks of that. So I started watching Doctor Who, which I had never done before. I was digging it up until she came about as his sidekick, and stopped watching it there. She was too damn annoying to get through.

[–]SullyZero 56 points57 points ago

I actually think she is my favorite new series companion. It was nice to not have to have a "will they/won't they" romantic subplot for once. I actually think Donna had the most interesting character arc of any companion too. She starts off as totally annoying and bitchy, but develops into a strong, independent woman who the Doctor can rely on. IMO she has by far the most tragic story as well since she gets stripped of all of that at the end and goes back to her previous shallow terrible self. I think Catherine Tate is a better actress than she usually gets credit for.

[–]HerdsootI got it from the deli. At Albertsons. 28 points29 points ago

Why are we talking about an Office character's appearance in Doctor Who on the Breaking Bad subreddit?

[–]rhinofingerScientists love lasers! 35 points36 points ago

[–]KlopeksWithCoppers 0 points1 point ago

I think in this case it's a Doctor Who character's appearance in The Office.

[–]DrunkenBeard 5 points6 points ago

I have to say I preferred Martha Jones for some reason, but it seems this opinion isn't shared by most people.

[–]neonwatermelonMagnets! 8 points9 points ago

Really? I couldn't stand Martha. She just annoyed me with every single thing she did. May I ask why you prefer her?

[–]Mcflexingtonbutts 2 points3 points ago

By the time I saw Martha, I was just happy to not have to deal with Rose and permanently associated Martha with that pleasure. I mean god Rose was just SO STUPID I couldn't bear it. Martha and Donna didn't know what they were doing, but but the difference is they accepted it. Rose just went against all logic and advise. What the hell makes her think she knows better than the guy who's been doing this for hundreds of years?

[–]Cr6433 0 points1 point ago

Your opinion is shared by me!

[–]rhinofingerScientists love lasers! 0 points1 point ago

She was the least interesting companion for me, but I still like her.

[–]tylerh1133 0 points1 point ago

Martha would be my favorite companion if she had been a little less helplessly in love with the doctor. She was a really interesting character, but the whole "Why won't you get over Rose?!?" thing got old pretty quick.

[–]Dutch_Wilkerson 1 point2 points ago

I literally forgot about Martha as soon as she left the series, she was terribly bland and uninteresting

[–]SphericalOrbit 5 points6 points ago

Hahaha personally I thought she was better than Martha. But that's about it. But Donna's dad, he's just funny. I thought the dynamic between the 10th and Donna was different for its time. She was more brazen than the other companions.

[–]MoonshineSchneider 4 points5 points ago

oh good god, Martha was awful. If there is a companion to dislike, it's definitely her.

[–]Carlitofly 0 points1 point ago

Really martha? What about rose?

[–]Euphorium 2 points3 points ago

Rose was kinda boring, I do miss Mickey though.

[–]ByahhByahh 6 points7 points ago

Simonzi, while I would have completely agreed with you a few months ago, I have to disagree now. I went through with her and continued watching, and loving, Doctor Who. While she was terribly annoying the first time around, coming back to her time on the show during my second playing of it, she was much more of a badass. She doesn't fit in with the other types of companions that the Doctor normally has, but she truly was a great addition to the show.

[–]SeverePsychosis 1 point2 points ago

Oh my god for the love of all that is holy please go back and start watching at season 5. Seasons 5-7 are life changing, and no more Catherine Tate.

[–]Williamfoster63 1 point2 points ago

Silence in the Library/ Forest of the Dead are easily two of the best episodes of DW. Watch season 4, it's not worth skipping. Planet of the Ood, the Sontarans, Turn Left- Journey's End - all great. I also hated Donna during the runaway bride episode, but after the Fires of Pompeii and Planet of the Ood, she quickly warmed up.

[–]cupids_hitman 1 point2 points ago

I really enjoyed series five, but I hated series six. Also, there's only been five out of fourteen episodes of season seven so for. How is that life changing?

[–]choupi 1 point2 points ago

If you think you might give it a shot again, try and get your way through Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead even though her character is in it. She's not in series 5 and on, but that 2 parter sets up lots of the story line for series 5+.

[–]TallRedditor 0 points1 point ago

I'll fill you in on her role on the Office...she is ridiculously annoying. That's all you need to know! haha

[–]perfunction 0 points1 point ago

Yup. I hated her so much. She seems to be a bit more attractive on The Office at least.

[–]sparty09 0 points1 point ago

I have seen all the episodes from when she was on, but I agree that she made Doctor Who worse for me. David Tennant is amazing, but I thought that her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. It didn't completely kill the show for me, though.

[–]attn2risky 2 points3 points ago

ahh I thought that was Donna!!!!

[–]Alcookie 12 points13 points ago

She used to have her own show in the UK. Awful character 'comedy'.

[–]Mr_Hank_Scorpio 8 points9 points ago

yeah that sketch show was bloody awful.

[–]digitalpizza 2 points3 points ago

fuck sake I'd managed to forget that show ever existed.

Had no idea she was in this now

[–]Ironfruit 1 point2 points ago

She's probably better well known for that than Doctor Who, in the UK at least. She started off as merely a guest star which pretty much says it all. I like Catherine Tate quite a bit, but it's hard to deny that The Catherine Tate Show was crap.

[–]JupitersClock 2 points3 points ago

Aww, I love her character on the Office.

[–]random_story 0 points1 point ago

You hate her?

[–]rachel_em 0 points1 point ago

She's my favourite :(

[–]expectingrain -2 points-1 points ago

Actually the writing after season four make the show terribly unfunny.

[–]awertz23Reasonably Happy 21 points22 points ago

This is almost enough to get me to watch the Office again

almost.

[–]kewlfocusEmmy Bitch! 26 points27 points ago

Season 9 has been really good so far. The cold open with Asian Jim is from the current season.

[–]elgambino 28 points29 points ago

I agree, last season was iffy but overall, I think they've handled the Post-Michael Scott era very well. I would actually sooner say that Pam and Jim getting married did more harm for plot lines than Steve Carrell's exit.

[–]vaggydelight 9 points10 points ago

Never has someone been more correct.

[–]I_Fixed_My_Dryer 5 points6 points ago

That was the beginning of the end for me too. It became less about the office and the people working there, and more about people that happen to work at an office.

[–]VerneAsimov 0 points1 point ago

The Asian Jim scene was pretty hilarious. The ninth season is doing fairly well so far.

[–]FrankReynolds6353 Juan Tabo, Apartment 6 1 point2 points ago

It's worth watching again, IMO. Season 9 has been pretty stellar so far. The original showrunner, Greg Daniels is back for season 9.

Now they just need to shoot Nellie out of a cannon, and I will be happy.

[–]circle_ 0 points1 point ago

Agreed. Its like straight off the bat they've been setting up closing storylines for the characters and are prepping a transition to The Farm. I like where things are going this season.

[–]stinkmeaner92 5 points6 points ago

I still enjoy the show just because I enjoy the character interaction... Although I am only on season 6 and I heard it gets much worse...

[–]FrankReynolds6353 Juan Tabo, Apartment 6 0 points1 point ago

Season 6 is "okay". Season 7 is for the most part bad, with the exception of Michael's final episodes. Season 8 is absolutely terrible.

Season 9 so far has been quite good.

[–]Linkfan5011 0 points1 point ago

Actually, I really enjoyed seasons 7 and 8. 9 is also still making me laugh. I think the show is still fantastic.

[–]Conradfr 0 points1 point ago

I enjoyed it until season 8, then I stopped watching.

Well, time to watch one more episode I guess.

[–]Arsid 1 point2 points ago

season 8 sucked terribly.

You should really watch Season 9 though. Its a lot better. And only a few episodes have aired so it'd be easy to catch up on! The openings are all great so far and the episodes of themselves seem way more office-like than the shit storm of season 8.

[–]thewisefoolHHH 1 point2 points ago

There's mayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyybe one good episode between that season and the end of season eight. Season nine had one of the better cold opens in a long, long time. (Won't spoil anything for you...it's golden though.)

[–]Tuco_bell 0 points1 point ago

every episode is hilarious until michael scott leaves. then its funny from time to time

[–]MediocreFriendbut not on Dish 0 points1 point ago

As soon as Jim and Pam hooked up, I was done. Then the whole show became attractive people vs. normal people and nobody really wins.

[–]TallRedditor 4 points5 points ago

I really hope he kills off Nellie in it.

[–]priestofdisorder 3 points4 points ago

Probably Bryan is returning to his comedy roots.

The Office has gotten so shitty in its last season that I now call it...

The Orifice.

[–]njensen7 0 points1 point ago

Waiting for next Breaking Bad season to air? There's gold in the streets, just waiting to be directed!

[–]Jitte 2 points3 points ago

That show should've been killed off a long time ago, as should HIMYM.

[–]RizzoFromDigg 2 points3 points ago

You're god damned right.

[–]studcase 0 points1 point ago

I remember when Bryan Cranston directed a Malcolm in the Middle Christmas Special. It sucked. Don't let this suck please. Also while writing this comment I noticed that in Google Chrome, if you type in "Cranston" and right click it, the auto correct option it gives you is "Scranton". Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

[–]la508 0 points1 point ago

I was actually genuinely surprised to see him wearing trouserrs. In my head, he is just perpetually wearing Y-fronts.

[–]Brad13186 -1 points0 points ago

[–]DunDerD 0 points1 point ago

The office was over for me when steve carrell left

[–]mitchellisawesome 0 points1 point ago

If only it was Michael.

[–]thegreatgload 0 points1 point ago

This is cool. The Office has had tons of guest directors over the years. I think J.J. Abrams directed an episode in season 3 or 4 (I haven't watched since season 6). Strangely, there wasn't any lens flare...

[–]Rioth 0 points1 point ago

[–]CharLzarD 0 points1 point ago

Anyone know why he's directing an episode besides the obvious answer that Breaking Bad is so popular right now?

[–]halo4cometh 0 points1 point ago

the office is shit, how it should end dwight shoots himself in the head for working at a office to long, darrly gets blamed for it thats all use to love it but come on

[–]caseycg 0 points1 point ago

How much longer until we get a Breaking Bad/The Office crossover? Is that even possible?

[–]TheGreatBlumkin 1 point2 points ago

[–]Hellwemade -1 points0 points ago

It's like James Cameron or Martin Scorsese directing a Twilight movie. It's great he is directing but why not direct something actually good?

[–]Ferniff 0 points1 point ago

[–]aleczjp -1 points0 points ago

I actually am not at all a fan of Cranston's work behind the camera. The episodes he directed are by large my least favorite of the series.
