Beware of trading scammers!

A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports).

"Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

Posting Rules

  • Posts must be directly gaming-related. Thus, "generic" image macros/memes (where the character itself is not related to gaming) like Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, etc. will be removed. Something that "reminds you of a game", or "looks like something from a game" is also not an appropriate submission; similarly, reaction GIFs are also not appropriate as submissions.

  • Following Reddiquette is encouraged

  • No "general" URL shorteners (bitly, tinyurl, etc). Single-site URL shorteners (such as youtu.be or fav.me) are allowed.

  • No game or product giveaway of any kind

  • NSFW submissions and comments must be labeled

  • Spoilers can be posted using the following formatting:
    [X Kills Y](/spoiler)
    Result: X Kills Y.

  • To mark a spoiler as relevant to a specific game/topic, use the alternate formatting:
    [Player 1 wins](/spoiler "Pong")
    Result:
    Player 1 wins

  • Report posts containing spoilers not using the above method

  • Don't post users' personal information.

Submission Rules

Is your post not showing up? Do not delete it. Wait 5 minutes to give AutoModerator a chance to look at it; it approves most submissions automatically. If it hasn't shown up after more than 5 minutes, simply message the moderators and ask us to let it through.

Poor Wii U pad, all on its own at the bottom.

[–]arriu 7 points8 points ago

That's because its the bastard child of the wii classic controller and the dreamcast controller.

[–]return2sender -1 points0 points ago

forever alone ;(

[–]mrwazsx -1 points0 points ago

Maybe it's the begging of a whole new chart

[–]yamamoto114 2 points3 points ago

It's missing Rock Band's pro instruments and DDR dance pads.

[–]Lextron 0 points1 point ago

What makes the DDR dance pad in the picture not a DDR dance pad?

[–]yamamoto114 1 point2 points ago

This concept.

Also, the fact that I'm apparently blind.

[–]fritzenkraut 2 points3 points ago

As always on /r/Gaming this is too console oriented for me. ask me how many Competition pros or Quickjoys i've owned for my Commodore C64, Amiga or Atari 800xl!

Edit: Anyway... i guess i own only 5 of the shown controlers.

[–]this_sort_of_thing 2 points3 points ago

Just the playstation ones. If it ain't broke...

[–]gotezula 2 points3 points ago

too many, an example of my gluttony seen here

[–]Banjo_0 1 point2 points ago

I own pretty much none of them! :D but I've used at least 11 I think.

Quick edit: (I'm mostly computer based with games)

[–]milliams 1 point2 points ago

Only one, "Tennis for Two" (or at least a home-made version of it).

[–]Drwhofan14 0 points1 point ago

Am I the only one upset about how wrong the Xbox 360 controller is?

[–]convenientbox 2 points3 points ago

No I am aswell, the ps2/3 controllers are just bad. The friggin buttons are coloured ffs.

[–]Rohan21166 0 points1 point ago

None.

[–]Dalisca 0 points1 point ago

8 I think.

[–]rumplexx 0 points1 point ago

About 17 of the ones pictured. 18 or so if you count variations that aren't shown. And about 22 if I go back and count ones I used to have but have no longer.

Edit: Apparently, my count was off. See detailed list below.

[–]rumplexx 1 point2 points ago

What the hell, I'm bored so I'll list them.

  1. NES
  2. NES Advantage
  3. SNES
  4. N64
  5. Gamecube wired
  6. Wavebird
  7. Wii remote
  8. Wii classic controller
  9. SMS
  10. Three button Genesis
  11. Saturn (two variations)
  12. Dreamcast
  13. Turbografx-16 pad
  14. TG-16 stick
  15. Playstation stick (made by ASCII ware, not the dual analog stick)
  16. Playstation 2 Dual Shock
  17. Xbox (not the Duke)
  18. Xbox 360
  19. Rock Band
  20. Menacer (Genesis light gun)
  21. Some random grey light gun for the Saturn (The Pursuer?)
  22. Sega Master System light gun
  23. Atari Jaguar 3-button

I have previously owned a Power Glove, an NES Max, NES light gun, original digital Playstation pad, the first dual analog Playstation pad (before they added the rumbling feature), 2600 joystick, and 2600 paddles. That's all I can think of at them moment.

[–]rumplexx 0 points1 point ago

It's in there. Right hand side next to the Menacer. 1993 level.

[–]ZeroTheUltimate 0 points1 point ago

Ah, I didn't see that there. I was looking more in the center where the SNES controller was. My apologies.

[–]Cronnyn 0 points1 point ago

Wish I still had the software for the miracle. That thing.

[–]xopher314 1 point2 points ago

Where are the beatmania, drummania, and guitar freaks controllers?

[–]hardcase 0 points1 point ago

It's missing the Donkey Kong bongo controllers. Donkey Konga was one of my favorite Gamecube games.

[–]mr_burrito 0 points1 point ago

no, theyre there. left side.

[–]Blauspec 1 point2 points ago

right side

[–]facelaser 1 point2 points ago

Where is the SNES mouse?

[–]workerific 0 points1 point ago

Joyboard was Atari not Amiga, but the Amiga O/S developers did use it when they would encounter an issue hence the GURU Meditation error when they would sit on the joyboard and meditate.

[–]ImThatGuyJake 0 points1 point ago

Mouse and keyboard please.

[–]CaptainWeasel 0 points1 point ago

I have 54. Knocked out a lot of them at the top, and the newer consoles helped out too. :D

[–]b4dkarm4 0 points1 point ago

Fuck, im getting old.

[–]mr_burrito 0 points1 point ago

the xbox controller is too small. if these were properly scaled, it would take up half the picture.

[–]CosmicBard -1 points0 points ago

This map is bunk, it's like it ignores Japan and the 80's home computer boom entirely.

[–]Twisted_Fate 0 points1 point ago

Zero.

[–]mento6 0 points1 point ago

DAE consider a Kinect a controller?

[–]MrMariohead123 0 points1 point ago

Keyboard and Mouse?

[–]DickmanComedy 0 points1 point ago

What's a Zeebo controller?

[–]krzysd 0 points1 point ago

Virtual Boy?

[–]Icebear8 0 points1 point ago

Dream eye came before the Sony eye toy, and Dreamcast had a Wii remote type controller in the works way before the Wii came out

[–]pezley 0 points1 point ago

It's missing DJ Hero decks.

[–]BulletBilll 0 points1 point ago

Just looking those over I have about 50ish. (Only 1 CD-i controller is shown but I have 4 different models of it, and a few other less important controllers are missing)

[–]NetworkGuyMN 0 points1 point ago

I came to see my Intellivision controller, and I was not let down. I also have NES, NES Advantage, NES Max, NES Zapper, SNES, Playstation Dual Shock.

[–]jimeno[S] -1 points0 points ago

i own at least 15 of them!

[–]peolorat 0 points1 point ago

None, I'm strictly a computer gamer that has never owned a console or any type of game pad or other console peripheral. My first computer was a Toshiba MSX and I've always considered consoles to be inferior devices in comparison. I have however used a few of those listed, maybe ~5.

[–]jimeno[S] 1 point2 points ago

they're still a piece of history! said from a proud ex owner of amiga 1200, apple II, c64, and x86 architecture pcs!
