Those fuckers are so annoying. I've been hit up to 5 times in one race. In Double Dash, you could avoid these if you boosted at the right moment, but it was still hard to pull off. I don't know if you can do it in the Wii one. I haven't played that one.

I've only seen it done once on the Wii, the guys used a mushroom right as the blue shell began its diving animation and dodged it. It was right at the finish line. I usually just slam on the breaks and try to take as many other people the fuck down with me.
