                    that's it. confidence can be more interesting than appearance and status. i knew this guy in college who never seemed to have any trouble getting women yet he was the weirdest looking guy. we used to call him "cloud head" because he had this giant afro (quite like the guy this thread is about), but he oozed confidence and people were drawn to him.

                      Exactly! "Chicks dig confidence" is half the picture. The rest is that the confidence has to be based in something. A guy can have confidence in his sense of humor, his intelligence, or whatever good traits he does have, but having confidence is not going to make people simply forget his flaws.

                      You aren't really confident if you have that in the back of your mind. Most women can smell fakeness and part of it is also seeming interesting and not needy. Best way to describe it is you are "someone that has something going on".

                      A confident guy wouldn't worry. He's shrug it off and move on. You go up to a girl feeling like you're going to fail and most likely you will. You go up to a girl without a concern about failing, your chances of failure decrease immensely, but nothing is a guarantee. If you are confident, not getting with a girl won't feel like a failure, but just another step in getting towards the right girl. I think I read it on reddit recently where they said each rejection is basically cutting the field down by one more person who isn't right for you (or something to that effect).
