2 It's not racist, it's an example in a book. It's an impartial example, and doesn't imply that the writers of the book, or anyone else in real life for that matter(remember it's a generic example in a book) wouldn't want their daughters to date black people.

An impartial example would be one that doesn't mention race at all. It's a dictionary- the point of the example is to be easily understandable to a wide audience, so there's at least someone who believes that is a common sentiment about "trouble."

I'm pretty sure that it's a german school book. It is likely a vocabulary list which belongs to a story about racism in the US. It's quite possibly not very old. Dealing with racism is very common in german education, to raise awareness and to show that racism exists everywhere.
