Trust me, it still sits deep. I am living in Switzerland. We have lots of Germans living and working here. And their children go to school here, they are having a really hard time sometimes. Beeing twelve and beeing called out as nazi is no fun I believe. Never make fun of a german and make nazi related jokes. There are still many victims alive.

My girlfriends grandparents have lived in Cologne during ww2. He was there during the first 1000 bomber attack in germany... Please be really careful with that sort of stuff, It's not just that the Germans have done cruel things. Most of the things they didn't even know or they were manipulated (the regular citizen). The jews were German citizens too. And I think the country that looked worst after ww2 was Germany itself.

As a German I just want to mention there's a difference between calling all Germans nazis and making a joke like this. The line may be fine sometimes, but this one is relatively funny IMO, I don't really see the problem (other than this being french, not german).

I would take Axis & Allies over Risk, but both are pretty good games. I think I like Axis & Allies because of all the tanks & planes.
