I may be splitting hairs, but it says no "political posts," but not no posts that are about politics... There is a difference, especially, in this case, since this post is non-partisan and clearly trying to be funny. It is probably subjective as to which you think this is, politics or political. At the same time, "funny" is also subjective, so there is a precedent for tolerating some subjectivity on r/funny.

Some people really are to uptight to work with rules and don't know how to apply them. The rule exists to not turn this into a political debate, to not mock someone you don't vote on and have the frontpage filled with "Look what Romney/Obama said!"

This post picks no sides, and is a statement about politics in a very general sense, it doesn't even resemble any human being you could vote for in any election that is running at the moment.

The reason that all politicians lie to us is to get elected. We get dissapointed because we actually expect the promises to be fullfilled, but in truth they can't fullfill the promises because there is to much in the way of red tape and political parties that refuse to work together for a greater good instead of personal goals. As a result, every elected official is always going to be hated, and every one preaching about "change" will be looked at as the next big thing.

The reason for this is that politicians do the things that they think they have to do as soon as they are elected. The things they know people don't want but think are things that the people need. They do them as soon as they are elected because the longer they wait the closer they get to the next elections, and they do the good things just before the elections so people remember the good things they did recently and vote for them.
