This is a good answer. I'd seen moments of it here and there, but never bothered to watch it because it looked stupid. When I finally sat down and watched the first season I was amazed. Some of the tightest comedy writing on television. Consistently high quality throughout the run, and this latest season is no exception. I would go so far as to say the writers have outdone themselves this season. Some truly laugh out loud moments.

Also, despite his character being so completely stereotyped, Eric Stonestreet should get every award in showbiz for his portrayal of Cam. He's got to be one of the most entertaining actors on television right now.

They have a lot of fun with gay stereotypes. It's almost over the top, and sometimes I wonder what the LGBT community thinks about Mitch and Cam. I imagine opinions must vary wildly.

I love it that they hate on lesbians. It goes all the way back to the pilot episode, when they're talking about adopting Lily. They considered having one of their lesbian friends surrogate for them, but since lesbians are already so mean, who'd want to see one pregnant as well?

Gay men being catty about gay women. It's simultaneously ridiculously offensive, cliched, very funny, and somehow also good-spirited.

I had the exact same reaction.

It looked from clips and ads like typical pablum, but when enough people I respected kept shoving DVDs into my hand and ordering me to watch it I was really surprised at how sharp it was.

Assuming you're not kidding, DO NOT DO THAT.

Click "show all results" and look for links to filebox, allmyvideos, or (if you get lucky) putlocker or sockshare. Those will work fine. Gorillavid is also good. Most of Modern Family can be seen on filebox or allmyvideos.

Use ablock in firefox to minimize invasive popups.

If one would desctibe the show, it would sound boring. 3 families, all related in some way go about with their daily lives. No superpowers, no crazy supporting roles, and noone is cooking meth...

But because of great actors and good lines delivered with timing, the show is really good.

I started it a few weeks ago to fill my Community void. I wasn't expecting much, since I really hadn't heard too much about it, but my god. Phil Dunphy is the reason I watch that show.

It's funny and smart. A lot of family conflict. It makes my family almost seem normal.

Give it a shot, though. Definitely worth the time.
