I'm just waiting for the winter steam sale :>

[–]lsop 4 points5 points ago

Amen Brother.

[–]Clockwork80 0 points1 point ago

What a glorious time the winter steam sale is for us and our wallets!

[–]LocalMadman 4 points5 points ago

Yeah, I bought Civ V at full price and it went on sale like 2 weeks later. This time I'm waiting.

[–]eveninglion 0 points1 point ago

Mhmm. I'm still regretting not getting goty edition >.<

[–]Some_Human_On_Reddit 0 points1 point ago

My friend pressured me into buying Civilization V. We waited and waited, and no summer sale came. Tears were shed and I finally bought it full price.

Less than a week later, GOTY Edition is cheaper than my standard edition.

Same here. Can't wait for Christmas :)

[–]Gemini_19 3 points4 points ago

I don't.

[–]Roastings 4 points5 points ago

I want it but $30 is way to expensive.

[–]frostburner 2 points3 points ago

But it's like a whole new game!

[–]Fugdish 2 points3 points ago

It's selling for $10 here.

[–]fulmarmusic 0 points1 point ago

I don't have it. I am looking forward to owning it, though. It Will change up the game a little.

I need to figure out how much all the DLC packs cost and compare them to the actual game itself. I bet you DLC trumps the vanilla by a longshot.

[–]SmilularAnti-Barbarian 3 points4 points ago

All the just Civs DLC packs cost around $27.00 (I bought them all in one purchase). But when you add the Wonders of the Ancient World, Explorers Pack, and all the Cradles of Civilization, it's at around $49.00.

Then Steam is lying to me, or you must have gotten it on sale.

[–]SmilularAnti-Barbarian 1 point2 points ago

I'm going by memory, so it's probably not very accurate.

[–]I_give_karma_to_menPrince 0 points1 point ago

He's not including G&K. Add that in and it matches up with your calculations.

$29.99 Vanilla Civilization V $29.99 Sid Meier's Civilization V - Gods and Kings $4.99 Sid Meier’s Civilization® V: Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar II) $2.99 Civilization V: Cradle of Civilization - Mediterranean $2.99 Civilization V: Cradle of Civilization - Asia $2.99 Civilization V: Cradle of Civilization - Americas $2.99 Civilization V: Cradle of Civilization - Mesopotamia $7.49 Double Civilization and Scenario Pack: Spain and Inca $4.99 Civilization and Scenario Pack: Polynesia $4.99 Civilization and Scenario Pack: Denmark - The Vikings $4.99 Civilization V: Explorer’s Map Pack $4.99 Civilization V - Wonders of the Ancient World Scenario Pack $4.99 Civilization V - Civilization and Scenario Pack: Korea DLC COST $79.38

[–]I_give_karma_to_menPrince 1 point2 points ago

Even if you compare to the actual launch price of Vanilla, that's still another $30, which is a pretty decent chunk of change.

Or you can just buy Civ 5 GOTY and get all but G&K for $40. Save $9 if you buy G&K afterwards.

[–]methinkso 1 point2 points ago

Civ 5 GotY is year is still missing a dlc or two. I think the Korea pack in particular is missing, if I'm not mistaken?

[–]Nerd_SwagAm I the only one who likes Arabia? 2 points3 points ago

I believe it's missing Korea and possibly Wonders of the Ancient world. But you still save a buck or two.

[–]PthaosThe pious are the rich. 0 points1 point ago

I have been lead to believe that G&K includes some of the DLC civs also.

[–]usotaku13666 0 points1 point ago

I don't have it. I wAnt it, but I lack the necessary funds to acquire it.

[–]Nerd_SwagAm I the only one who likes Arabia? 0 points1 point ago

I don't have it, just got the game and I'm trying to work the game out a bit, and then I have to get all that money. Just gonna wait for the Steam Winter Sale.

[–]KatGunz 0 points1 point ago

I don't have it either, but that's because I don't have the game. Count your blessings! :P

[–]TselfCiv Lurker 0 points1 point ago

I don't even own any civ games. :/

[–]sonofa2 0 points1 point ago

Got Civ 5 and G&K during the summer sale. It was definitely a good purchase.

[–]fordmw 0 points1 point ago

I don't have Civ5. I played every Civ title (I, II + exps, III + exps, IV + exps, CTP, CTP2, AC) except for 5. It looks beautiful, but so far nothing about it seems like Civ. People are saying that there's little depth to the game, and I hear the politics have been nerfed. Price is a consideration as well when I realize that to get any depth I apparently need to spend about 80USD. Not cool. I might just have to sit this one out.

[–]friendoindia 0 points1 point ago

I don't have it either. The price is absolutely ridiculous, it does add nice things but 30 dollars for digital download expansion plz no.

PIRATE BAY SAVES THE DAY

[–]Bojan6089 0 points1 point ago

There's no mac version. FWP.

[–]theguywithacomputer 0 points1 point ago

kick ass torrents?

[–]FailedhailOh My Science 0 points1 point ago

I don't have it, for now I'm perfectly fine with the game with no add on's. :)
