If by "america"you mean the USA, the answer is no, Canada is not in America.

If by "america" you mean "North America" or "The Americas" then yes. But understand that the term "America" means, for all intents and purposes, the USA. Generally speaking, no Canadian would ever refer to themselves as American and nor would any American call a Canadian an American. It'd be like calling an Austrian a German or calling a Scottsman an Englishman.
