Was that a spider he tried to grab?!?!

[–]MissBully 49 points50 points ago

Don't worry, we're safe. It was just a piece of candy.

[–]Shappie 15 points16 points ago

Ooh, piece of candy..

[–]aoeu00 2 points3 points ago

still looks like a spider (even though it's candy) because after he 1st touches it, it appears to move! ..but obviously because of the vent/air.

[–]scarab456 0 points1 point ago

And thus the secret to ninja training is out, candy.

[–]Armagedoff 130 points131 points ago

I used to do this!

[–]TeevTeeForMe 76 points77 points ago

This, and then when you got a little bigger you could do it with one foot against each side.

[–]arrjayjee 100 points101 points ago

And now that I'm 6'6" my mass has tripled, my strength barely doubled and I'm too big to do anything fun. :(

[–]MarvinTheAndroid42 27 points28 points ago

Dude, the bonus to being 6' plus is that we don't need to climb shit anymore. Granted, it's fun as hell.

[–]Schwarzwind 12 points13 points ago

I stayed 5'9" while the rest of my nordic friends grew well into the 6' range, so I vent my frustration by climbing buildings and massive trees.

[–]MarvinTheAndroid42 3 points4 points ago

That, sir, is awesome.

[–]Blackout72 7 points8 points ago

Last time I climbed walls I was about 3 1/2ft and 50lbs. Now I am a little less than 4x that weight and my height has doubled! I WANNA CLIMB WALLS! I DON'T CARE HOW TALL I AM!

[–]CummingEverywhere 0 points1 point ago

Don't you have any climbing centres near you?

[–]Blackout72 0 points1 point ago

Nope. I live in a very small, sheltered town in the middle of a forest.

[–]cryingeyes 0 points1 point ago

Climb a tree?

[–]Blackout72 0 points1 point ago

I do climb trees sometimes. There is also this old destroyed outpost from the 1800s that I can climb but there tends to be a ton of bees living in it and I hate bees. I would climb more but my upper body can't support my weight...

[–]Big_Stick 3 points4 points ago

Me too!!!

[–]FlyingPasta 1 point2 points ago

You can just reach up and grab it now.

Probably don't even need to reach up.

[–]Picnicpanther 2 points3 points ago

"Reach out to the side somewhere."

[–]Armagedoff 0 points1 point ago

Did that, did it until like 4 years ago.

[–]Zeis 2 points3 points ago

Me too! But nowadays I don't have the upper body strength to do it anymore. I'm also 6'1", so that's a problem too.

[–]hustlerrr 1 point2 points ago

It's like my entire childhood just came back to me. I also remember putting one foot on each side of the frame in the walkway into our kitchen with new sneakers and trying to climb up that way, ninja style.

[–]CinnamonCherryS 164 points165 points ago

Spider kid, spider kid. Does whatever a spider kid does.

[–]Vampire9967 77 points78 points ago

Can he swing from a web? No he cant hes a kid. Lookout! Here comes the spiderkid.

[–]MarvinTheAndroid42 73 points74 points ago

Thud

[–]whoadave 0 points1 point ago

For some reason I read that as:

Super kid, super kid. Does whatever a spider kid does.

[–]KookyGuy 46 points47 points ago

I foresee parkour in his future.

[–]Simple-ish 16 points17 points ago

Or rock climbing, if he's smart.

[–]ElPotatoDiablo 22 points23 points ago

I foresee multiple fractures, sprains and maybe a concussion or two in his future.

[–]jackobang 75 points76 points ago

kindof an indoor kid yourself, eh?

[–]UnreachablePaul -1 points0 points ago

He will be climbing up his mommy skirt whenever he see his bully

[–]Clydeicus -1 points0 points ago

Drink milk for strong bones?

[–]weskokigen 0 points1 point ago

This is actually false.

[–]KookyGuy 0 points1 point ago

I was hoping somebody would reference the office. Thank you for not disappointing me.

[–]ShawnDawn 28 points29 points ago

Altair's Descendant.

[–]GreatCaesar 10 points11 points ago

The adult in me is worrying about the marks left on the door frame. The kid in me wished he was still small enough to do this.

[–]i-guess-so 3 points4 points ago

Oh man, I thought the same thing. It's so cool that the kid could do that, but I yell at my daughter when she tries stuff like that.

[–]mexipimpin 1 point2 points ago

I yell sometimes too, but I think it all comes from jealousy, as I truly cannot remember having that much energy like when I was little.

[–]Satans_pro_tips 3 points4 points ago

The former construction foreman in me (that sounds weird) is worrying about the fact that the door trim is only being held in place with small headless nails; something a moderately sized adult can pull out easily by hand.

[–]SensualPancakes 8 points9 points ago

Ezio, the early years

[–]FatherDamo 6 points7 points ago

"You see Ted, it's a spider baby" .... "Dougal, does it have the head of a baby and the body of a spider?" .... "No Ted, it's a spider in a pram"

[–]TomTom_on_a_Tauntaun 2 points3 points ago

Weird, I just started watching that show last night. Baader-Meinhof strikes again!

[–]General_GTFO 3 points4 points ago

Baader-Meinhof of Baader-Meinhof strikes for the first time for me!

[–]nobitchingatreposts 0 points1 point ago

it's got the body of a spider, but the mind of a baby

[–]myactualaccount 6 points7 points ago

Little kids have hands that are constantly sticky. I'm not surprised he's able to shimmy up the door frame with a little help from his jam-hands.

[–]IZ3820 11 points12 points ago

And yet people still try to claim that we aren't descended from apes.

[–]Phallic 0 points1 point ago

Because they instead claim that we share a common ancestor with apes but aren't descended from them?

[–]heimdallofasgard 6 points7 points ago

[–]markik 4 points5 points ago

What, is his name Bran?

[–]eonge 0 points1 point ago

Soon the child will be pushed from a tower.

[–]t_Lancer 7 points8 points ago

Monkey with human skin!

[–]elizadeath 4 points5 points ago

This was really cute until that thing (roach?) on the vent started moving. Then it almost fell onto the little girl. Nothing is worse than a falling roach.

[–]Tzakoh 4 points5 points ago

That's a candy. Candies don't move yet.

[–]elizadeath 2 points3 points ago

Nightmares averted.

[–]farfigneugan 5 points6 points ago

it looks like a frog. It does the "all limbs extended while falling" thing frogs do.

[–]Eric578 2 points3 points ago

i assumed it was a toy the kid had thrown up there and got stuck, but thanks for making this cute video a source of nightmares.

[–]elispeerto 9 points10 points ago

Your kid is ridiculously awesome

[–]MrGreenBeanz 12 points13 points ago

Pretty sure that's not his kid...

[–]ibeinthesea 0 points1 point ago

or the person who posted the videos kid apparently based on the top comment.

[–]bashjeee 3 points4 points ago

He just reminds me of gollum.

[–]slappy_nutsack 2 points3 points ago

I don't know if it's healthy for pet monkeys to shave them.

[–]Haasts_Eagle 2 points3 points ago

[–]philamatt 3 points4 points ago

At least link to the original video and not the video that some guy stole.

[–]craftsy 2 points3 points ago

WTF WAS ON THE VENT?? If that's an insect I need to know what part of the world this was in so I can never go there.

[–]mojorisin2592 1 point2 points ago

I just want to let you know that based on this comment alone, I hate who you really are in real life.

[–]craftsy 0 points1 point ago

Well that escalated quickly...

[–]UnholyDemigod -1 points0 points ago

You do realise there's bugs everywhere, right?

[–]craftsy 0 points1 point ago

Yes, I was exaggerating... I realize there are bugs everywhere, but I'd be pretty upset if a giant spider-looking thing was chilling on my vent.

[–]UnholyDemigod 0 points1 point ago

It wasn't that big

[–]AvidReader182 2 points3 points ago

Who left that kid near radioactive spiders?

[–]divvip 0 points1 point ago

That kid is awesome!

[–]FrannyTwoShoes 0 points1 point ago

BREAKING NEWS! Spider kid saves family from giant spider attack.

[–]MPsai 1 point2 points ago

Now that is a skill which should be nurtured.

[–]iTimmeh 1 point2 points ago

I'm not a father but I was watching so worried he'd fall and bust his head on the door frame.

[–]quarktheduck 0 points1 point ago

Once most people become a parent, they usually realize children aren't as fragile as some make them out to be, and quit worrying so much.

[–]massaikosis -1 points0 points ago

magnificent bastard

[–]coltron472 1 point2 points ago

I shall call him Ezio.

[–]SimonSays1337 1 point2 points ago

I remember when I used to do this! It was great until you slide down and get jabbed with a 3inch splinter. Damn my lower class white american house.

[–]Adlynn 0 points1 point ago

Is that a huge spider! No thanks!

[–]Scenvresh 0 points1 point ago

Your kid > me.

[–]Live4EverOrDieTrying 1 point2 points ago

Exorcise that shit

[–]TheHeianPrincess 0 points1 point ago

I used to do this all the time with one foot on each door frame. Then I taught my brother and got too big to do it myself...the pupil has become the master.

[–]Pertanator -1 points0 points ago

Next stop, the ER

[–]10010101 0 points1 point ago

On ipod touch,looks like frog

[–]Five_deadly_venoms 0 points1 point ago

Evolution at its finest.

[–]Lumepall -1 points0 points ago

"Dad"? Why not mom? -.-

[–]quarktheduck 0 points1 point ago

In the source video it's the dad filming. I'm assuming OP knew this.

[–]TheQueenOfDiamonds 1 point2 points ago

Relax guys, it's just a piece of candy. In the original, the sister climbs up there and gets a piece too.

[–]ninjajake1499 0 points1 point ago

Peter Parker has children...

[–]FUCKS_LOGIC 0 points1 point ago

Ooo! Apieceofcandy!

[–]littlesteviebrule 0 points1 point ago

Our ape genes kick in early.

[–]Kyle_Midlon 0 points1 point ago

[–]meleeman09 0 points1 point ago

Lil Ezio.

[–]l0ng_time_lurker -1 points0 points ago

No need to make teh kitchen child-proof...see, it´s money saved right there.

[–]holyhellitsmatt 1 point2 points ago

C'mon man, it's like a V0. (climbers will understand)

[–]Tacomanster 0 points1 point ago

Looks like a v0+ or a v1 actually. Those frames are maybe wide enough for 1 knuckle, and the feet are either a slick smear or a crappy heelhook. Personally, I'd go with a heelhook on your hand, smear with the other foot, and lunge a deadpoint with the hand that isn't being used to allow the heelhook. But that's just me

[–]culby 0 points1 point ago

Great, now go change the batteries in the smoke alarm.

[–]Dropbear81 0 points1 point ago

Oh god, my three year old does this. There isn't much he can't climb. I had to get him down off the neighbours' roof a couple of days ago.

[–]TomScotland 0 points1 point ago

This kid is gonna go places.

[–]StarManta -1 points0 points ago

What adult was standing there recording this, just waiting for the kid to fall and bust his head open?

[–]HAPPYxMEAL 0 points1 point ago

I remember trying this again when I was older and ripping the molding off!

[–]Ruzihm -1 points0 points ago

This kills the molding.

[–]CypherXPn 0 points1 point ago

future firefighter

[–]funkmasterfelix 0 points1 point ago

[–]Ejento 0 points1 point ago

[–]Minor_stupidity_win -1 points0 points ago

[–]OJandToothpaste -1 points0 points ago

"Spider Kid, Spider Kid, Does whatever a Spider Kid does."

[–]dzwatch 0 points1 point ago

reminds me when i was little.

[–]Flatbar 0 points1 point ago

Too bad reddit wasn't around in the late 80's. My dad could have reaped so much karma for my door climbing shenanigans.

[–]scott4dis 0 points1 point ago

He's like a human version of Diddy Kong

[–]alexbu62395 0 points1 point ago

if you didnt do this at that age..... your childhood was incomplete

[–]NytFantom 0 points1 point ago

An assassin was born.

[–]bpnyz 0 points1 point ago

DEXTER HE WANTS YOUR BLOOD SAMPLES

[–]admiraljohn 0 points1 point ago

I like how the title assumes it's Dad that's there while this is going on, because you know Mom wouldn't allow this.

[–]vitalogst 0 points1 point ago

video was cool until the sliding down part, oh my hands, it burns.

[–]Ezaraku 0 points1 point ago

The splinter possibilities!

[–]themonkey12 0 points1 point ago

when he grow up he will be a ninja.

[–]Turnshroud 0 points1 point ago

O_O What sort of trickery is this?

He's either a ninja or spiderman's son

[–]Huscarl_124 0 points1 point ago

[–]Legendary_Forgers 0 points1 point ago

I did this as a kid

[–]squishy_placenta 1 point2 points ago

You know it was his dad because a mother wont let their child have that kind of fun

[–]Limeo 0 points1 point ago

That kid will do more than we'll ever do.

[–]niallmc66 0 points1 point ago

Can anyone say they didn't do anything like this when they were younger??

[–]shanvan 0 points1 point ago

How can somebody look at this and NOT believe in evolution? How much more monkey-type-creature can a monkey-type-creature be, even if they are wearing the latest in Kid's GAP couture, before you go, "Hey, you know what? Monkey-type-creature!"

[–]_Mattman_ -2 points-1 points ago

That's actually super creepy.

[–]RumbutterMcSquash 2 points3 points ago

Most overused word ever. In no way is this creepy, it's a little boy having fun.

[–]bpenny -1 points0 points ago

It's kind of cool how similar we are to chimpanzees when we're younger.

[–]Whenthenighthascome 1 point2 points ago

Go monkey go!

[–]Alexiumz -2 points-1 points ago

Hehe, the white balance.

[–]ProfessorFessor -3 points-2 points ago

Your move creationists!

[–]you_sir_are_wrong -5 points-4 points ago

HOLY FUCKING REPOST, BATMAN!

[–]toinfinitiandbeyond 0 points1 point ago

[–]prezjordan -1 points0 points ago

I've never been able to climb anything

[–]lucidHaze 0 points1 point ago

Ouch. Those metal door things could cut you on the slide down.

[–]Fuzzywraith 0 points1 point ago

I can't wath this gif without focusing on how the room is orange at the start and blue at the end

[–]Wellz96 -1 points0 points ago

dudes gonna be a climber when he grows up
