I had a hairless rat named Franny, and she was the sweetest thing ever. They get cold easily, so she would hide in my hair to stay warm. She just loved to cuddle! You can also get sweaters made for them. They also liked to chew on my eye lashes when I was wearing mascara to clean them. :|

Ya my two rats died from large tumours at about the age of three in both their cases. Other than that they make good pets, it's just a shame that they have such short lives. I had a third rat but it died due to severe breathing problems that it had since birth.

May I ask. Where did you buy them?

I also had mice for quite some time but did quite a lot of research before starting and the forums were almost screaming at me to not buy them from a big dealer but rather from a hobbyist. Hell some on those sites even had quite long family trees. Either way supposedly the big dealers get them from places were they are bred in bad conditions and without control on inbreeding. Which is the main factor in all those breathing problems that many small rodents show when buy from them.

I guess. The landlord is the one who turned them over to the SPCA and she's the one who told them that the person who left them was a stripper. So I can neither confirm or deny the fact that the former owner WAS a stripper. But it makes for a funny story if it were true.
