I always knew about slenderman before the game but I never investigated who he was. After the game I investigated his lore and now I know a lot more about slenderman! Sad thing is is the people who only know slenderman from the game. My friend has cousins who only talk about slender and Minecraft and they don't even know what creepy pasta is and thought slenderman originated from slender.

I agree, it was a cool idea and cool concept, and could've had a lot of promise for a scary game based off of who it is.

However the game, in my opinion, sucked for a scary game. Now, I've played Amnesia, and most horror games. Dead Space, FEAR, Condemned(give it a little credit, it aimed to be spooky), etc. and Slender was the worst of them all. I also tried SCP, when I was still streaming, also found that kind of boring, more of a rush of not knowing what the fuck was going on.

Overall I think I just want an actually scary game, none of given me a good scare effect now, with an exception of a few jumps here and there. One day, one day.

On a side note how is Slender at all scary? I did research into him and never found anywhere that said he was a murder that was out to kill you. It never really described what he does to people, from what I read. Pussies.

I think this would make a pretty sick mod. The whole static issue when slender is getting close is one thing. But having your screen fog up with blunt smoke would be pretty enjoyable. Excuse this crazy imagination.. Instead of pages you would probably have to steal rolling papers. The final cutscene would have slender passing a blunt and cut to credits. But a man can only dream..

I understand the anger towards the game, but i feel it's misguided. The game didn't water down slenderman, it merely introduced him to a wide audience, accidentally I might add. The gy had no intention of the game blowing up like that. Unfortunately, as we all know, once the masses get a hold of something precious, it's doomed to stray away from it's roots. We see this ALL THE TIME on Reddit.

TL;DR: You can keep being mad at the game, but you should really be mad at the people.

Most people (the ones downvoting, not necessarily the ones actually saying the game sucks) are probably reacting to the fact that Slenderman != the game Slender, and has in fact existed for about 3-4 years previous to the game (or at least to its popularity - but still at least 2-3 years before the game).
