isn't the DS getting outdated? also the games i want ex. Mario cart, star fox, zelda are all for the 3DS or most of them are

but isn't white 2 for the 3DS as well as Star fox? because i know you can't play 3DS games on a DS and nintendo arnt making DS games anymore

BW2 is for the DS. You can get Pokemon Dream Radar on the 3DS eShop which integrates with BW2 but that's about it. As for other DS games, there're still many good games being made for the DS.

That's sort of the problem, the majority of 1st party games for the 3DS are just remakes (Hardly, more like slight updates). The 3DS and the "remakes" are great for anyone who's never owned a DS or played the original games.

That's why it's not worth upgrading. If you have a DS keep it until the 3DS picks up speed. It's just my own opinion that the upgrade isn't worth it, especially if you trade in a DS at gamestop for it (considering they give you so little).
