Here is the thing. We've all seen this on movies and TV shows. Somebody does something like turn into a goat, or something similar: aliens, monsters, magic, time travel, whatever. Another person witness it and tries to tell somebody. Nobody believes him and we, as the audience, have totally suspended our disbelief and are dismayed that nobody believes him. Now, finally, somebody believes that this guy turned into a goat and he isn't going to get away with trying to steal that car! I will sleep easier tonight.
