but they appear to be flat stones not long pillars like they would have to be to touch the bottom. and you can kinda see under the second one from the angle. It's just sitting on the surface. There's nothing under it!

Nope, they are flat stones set on concrete pillars, been there 100 times it's a Suburban Village Park called Lesopark (TeKe, a Turkish word for it), near Ruse, Bulgaria, nice place.

You are assuming that they can't be thinner in the middle. Imagine a T-shaped cross-section. This is a very simple explanation--more so than them being magic stones that somehow levitate.

My grandparents use to have a house with a pond in the backyard. My brothers and I took styrofoam blocks once and made them look like real stones to a mini island in the pond. People would try walking onto them and just fall into the pond thinking they were real bricks.

I read that as "Stone bridge fail" and stared for at least a minute until reading the title again. At first I thought that 3rd stone from the front had a boot print on it which led me to believe someone had fallen into the water, then i scanned the surface of the water for signs of a person. Then I realized that the water was too still and the leaves did not look disturbed over the water. I'm an idiot.
