Is there an r/borderporn?

[–]Whiskeypants17 82 points83 points ago

there should be because this is hilarious and casually sexy.

[–]krazzzzykarl 139 points140 points ago

Until someone crosses the line

[–]pythion 53 points54 points ago

That was borderline funny

[–]bleahbloh 17 points18 points ago

done

[–]cooltom2006 16 points17 points ago

wow, do they have a treaty or something where passport checks are not required?

[–]FinKM 36 points37 points ago

Yup, it is called the Schengen Area, you can drive between most of the countries in Europe and the only border you will see is a signpost.

[–]Igantinos 23 points24 points ago

Europe traveling between EU countries dos not require passport

[–]cooltom2006 5 points6 points ago

really? I'm from the UK and have always needed my passport when travelling abroad.

[–]Aschebescher 74 points75 points ago

That's because your country doesn't want to be a real part of Europe.

[–]ProfCrastinator 2 points3 points ago

You need it for getting from the UK to mainland. Not from France to Germany for example.

[–]firstcity_thirdcoast 11 points12 points ago

Yes -- it's called the EU.

[–]zimm3rmann 160 points161 points ago

I'm glad we are friends :D

[–]AscentofDissent 46 points47 points ago

I'm sorry our friendship isn't as great as it could be.

[–]humble_braggart 109 points110 points ago

Let's discuss it over a nice bag of milk.

[–]the_goat_boy 38 points39 points ago

Bags of milk? You're weird.

[–]Icepick244 15 points16 points ago

Its a Canadian thing.

[–]Wylde_Guitarist 11 points12 points ago

It's an Eastern Canadian thing. I'm from Saskatchewan and have never seen a bag of milk.

[–]angertrain 1 point2 points ago

We might still have those in BC. It seems like it's been awhile since I've seen them.

[–]konkeydong 9 points10 points ago

Are you Canadian?

[–]weak_read 87 points88 points ago

[–]WhatevahBrah 21 points22 points ago

That's cool; do you know where it was taken?

[–]frenzyboard 76 points77 points ago

Along the US/Canada border?

[–]talzer 12 points13 points ago

Oh ok. I know where you're talking about.

[–]weak_read 11 points12 points ago

No, sorry, just in a big images folder I have on my computer. It's definitely either Alberta or British Columbia on the Canadian side, and could be Montana, Idaho or Washington on the American.

[–]micahk2 20 points21 points ago

On the border of Canada and US.

[–]h0witzer 12 points13 points ago

Somewhere on the U.S.-Canadian border.

[–]akfekbranford 12 points13 points ago

I just can't help but imagine a Mountie and a US park ranger whose only job it is is to walk side by side with chainsaws and keep that path clear.

[–]TrixiDelite 10 points11 points ago

Aww, is that the pot smuggling part? Because I love that part.

[–]irish711 11 points12 points ago

I saw this on "How The States Got Their Shapes" on History Channel, I'm pretty sure it was this town. IIRC they just recently (in the last decade or so) built a border station that you have to go through to cross from country to country.

[–]cooltom2006 2 points3 points ago

also, niagara falls.

[–]SMZ72 3 points4 points ago

US side of Niagara Falls is the town equivalent of a dead mall.

[–]somepuertorican 85 points86 points ago

Your country is full of white people? Aww, we don't need a wall.

[–]cosgrovian 21 points22 points ago

Mexico has lots of white people too...

[–]somepuertorican 24 points25 points ago

Canada has lots of Blacks and other races. Not the point I was making :).

[–]aoeu00 38 points39 points ago

[–]just_quit_smoking 4 points5 points ago

2.5% of Canadian population are black

[–]palealepizza 2 points3 points ago

let them pretend they're diverse, it doesn't hurt anyone.

[–]adrianaolivia 3 points4 points ago

It's okay. I got your point. pinche gringo

[–]dirpnirptik 2 points3 points ago

...but we don't want them back.

[–]sharktraffic 10 points11 points ago

I love how more friendly it looks like hahahah

[–]deer_head 0 points1 point ago

Even if I try to enter to the US form its north border means that I will get wet?! Catdammit...

[–]marmk 2 points3 points ago

Where is the Canadian? Please apologize and make me feel bad for writing this comment.

[–]yammys 3 points4 points ago

[–]the_doughboy 11 points12 points ago

Very little difference between those two cities. Both of them two of the most depressing places in their countries.

[–]SMZ72 15 points16 points ago

Windsor has nicer strip clubs.

[–]E-rye 4 points5 points ago

I'm not as afraid of getting shot in windsor.

[–]RobinPerris 920 points921 points ago

Mexico is the one on the right.

[–]johnq-pubic 159 points160 points ago

Here is the Google

[–]CrosswordsAreFun 130 points131 points ago

"San Diego" is actually Spanish for "Whale's Vagina."

[–]uchuskies08 129 points130 points ago

You mean German..

[–]define_44696f6e 62 points63 points ago

Walfotze.

[–]sexymafratelli 11 points12 points ago

Um...don't use that word.

[–]conairh 5 points6 points ago

Oh don't be such a cunt in the mud.

[–]Evanderson 52 points53 points ago

"Doesn't it mean Saint Diego?"

[–]See_Em 30 points31 points ago

I'll be honest, I don't think anyone knows what it means anymore. Scholars maintain that the translation was lost hundreds of years ago.

[–]alambert212 37 points38 points ago

Agree to disagree

[–]seanbear 19 points20 points ago

When in Rome.

[–]Dexter_of_Trees 10 points11 points ago

Go on..

[–]Blutothebabyseal 7 points8 points ago

Bankrupt the European Union?

[–]feelsnice 5 points6 points ago

Saint James, actually. Diego is the Spanish version of James.

[–]NakedChoker 9 points10 points ago

it actually means "without Dora's cousin"

i have been a parent too long

[–]Evanderson 2 points3 points ago

Thanks bud, good thing I wasn't referencing Anchorman or I would have never known that.

[–]Guppywily -1 points0 points ago

Saint Diego, the whale vagina.

[–]CellularBeing 16 points17 points ago

My first thought was 'WTF NO WAY, THAT'S AWESOME!' Then I remembered I speak spanish.

[–]herbertportillo 6 points7 points ago

No, it's German

[–]Platypus81 13 points14 points ago

Well, when in Rome.

[–]GeoM56 3 points4 points ago

First thing I did was jump that little guy across the boarder. It was pretty easy.

[–]sunkid 109 points110 points ago

This is correct. Specifically, this is the US-Mexican border between San Ysidro (San Diego County) and Tijuana. Many people don't realize that the population of Tijuana is larger than that of San Diego proper (the San Diego metropolitan area has more people living in it than Tijuana's though).

The building on the left is the International Wastewater Treatment plant. You can see the Tijuana River estuary behind it and you can see where the river crosses the border. The Tijuana River is heavily polluted by sewage since the infrastructure (and attitudes) on the Mexican side are unfortunately rather outdated. The river empties onto a well known big wave surfing spot, the legendary Tijuana Sloughs.

The only treatment plant on the Mexican side only partially treats sewage and will reach capacity during even the slightest rain falls. I once toured the plant, which uses open pond technology. The manager giving me the tour pointed to the ocean and said "this is our third treatment pond."

The black line along the border is a steel-plate fence and extends West (toward the front of the image) into the ocean. Driving on the four lane road on the right (South) of it, you will see a lot of folks loitering along side the fence. At least one used to, I haven't been through there in a while.

EDIT: added references

[–]walkersdlx 8 points9 points ago

I miss living there.. I've seen this fence a few times when going to shows around chula vista. Moving from San Diego still feels wrong.

[–]CoryTV 5 points6 points ago

the legendary Tijuana Sloughs

Yeah, I drank the water and once, and needed some antibiotics to get rid of it.

[–]sunkid 8 points9 points ago

This is no joke! I know of one surfer who nearly lost his life due to a systemic infection contracted in polluted waters. Often, people don't take beach closures seriously but sometimes, pollution isn't reported in a timely fashion either. Then again, the sloughs attract some bad ass die hards that won't miss the rare days when the break goes off even if they know the water is polluted.

[–]SpinMyRiki 4 points5 points ago

yea it's near san diego. been to that fashion shopping center you can see in the back on the left. it's a bizarre place with a very strange atmosphere! looking into mexico feels so surreal from there, I wish I had taken some pictures.

[–]wittyism 1 point2 points ago

I drive down that street to get to my house.

[–]Armitage1 15 points16 points ago

Is that true ?

[–]kratistos 48 points49 points ago

Yes, there's a white sign with "something, something, Tijuana" on the right side. The left side is also heavily populated but we're looking at park-/border land.

[–]Satsumomo 13 points14 points ago

The sign says "S.O.S. businesses are leaving Tijuana"

[–]kratistos 6 points7 points ago

Point being that it's Tijuana. :)

[–]Satsumomo 16 points17 points ago

But it's a tragic difference between "Welcome" and "We're slowly dying" :'(

[–]bcarle 23 points24 points ago

Donkey show industry ain't what it used to be.

[–]anti-establishmENT 14 points15 points ago

That is not a Park. On the american side, we are looking at the International Wastewater Treatment Plant.

[–]specialk16 16 points17 points ago

I also looks like your average Latin American city: very very dense with low buildings.

[–]Rosetti 22 points23 points ago

Parkour City.

[–]ghotier 15 points16 points ago

Look at the shadows. In the Northern Hemisphere the Sun is never to the North. The side the shadows are on has to be the north side. The right side is Mexico.

[–]Sc00termcgee 16 points17 points ago

Not to be a pedantic asshole, but the Sun can be to the North in the Northern Hemisphere, if you're below the Tropic of Cancer, and only between March and September. Though this is a moot point in this situation, as the Tropic is south of the US-Mexico border.

[–]tmac5100 9 points10 points ago

what a pedantic asshole

[–]Sc00termcgee 5 points6 points ago

I'd be the first to admit it!

[–]manueltransmission 2 points3 points ago

I downvoted you for being a pedantic asshole, but upvoted you for acknowledging it.

[–]Iggapoo 16 points17 points ago

As a former San Diegan, I can attest that most of them don't want to live right next to the border for various reasons, most to do with the illegal trafficking.

In Mexico however, Tijuana (and other border towns) are built right up next to the border because a large part of their economy is American tourism.

Hence why it's developed on the Mexico side, and under-developed on the US side.

Also, a large swath of the area by the border is protected marshland.

[–]ActuallyYeah 0 points1 point ago

I like this guy. He can keep talking.

[–]the_scot 34 points35 points ago

Yes. Look at the billboards.

Edit: I'm aware there many places in the US which sport spanish billboards. However, there aren't many that advertise for Tijuana: http://imgur.com/wQoTJ

[–]mocotazo 12 points13 points ago

Yes. Look at the billboards.

I don't know if I should be proud or ashamed to recognize that it's Vida Guerra in a thong on the billboard behind the Coke billboard.

[–]flagpole 3 points4 points ago

Definitely be proud to recognize such perfection.

[–]SandJA1 4 points5 points ago

Your edit-fu is acceptable.

[–]Armitage1 12 points13 points ago

There are billboards in Spanish in many border towns. My brother lives in Texas. That is far from proof.

[–]MozartIncarnate 6 points7 points ago

The level of traffic entering vs. leaving the US is astonishing...

[–]crackanape 7 points8 points ago

It's the same level of traffic in both directions (otherwise there'd be no cars left in Mexico by now). The difference is how long it takes to pass through the American checkpoints to enter the USA, which causes huge queues.

[–]anti-establishmENT 5 points6 points ago

The San Ysidro Port of Entry is the busiest international border crossing in the world.

[–]SourCreamWater 10 points11 points ago

As a San Diegan, TJ is 100% on the right.

[–]Butthole_Scientist 3 points4 points ago

I live in Tucson and half the damn billboards are in Spanish.

[–]ElGranChiludo 3 points4 points ago

Yes. I live around there US on the left, Mexico on the right. There isn't much development on the US side next to the fence because there is an estuary there that is protected.

[–]anti-establishmENT 2 points3 points ago

the estuary is further west. this is the international wastewater treatment plant

[–]stackTrase 2 points3 points ago

Is it international because Mexican and American shit merges there?

[–]ADIDAS247 2 points3 points ago

I... ah... I don't think shit has any ethnic background once it leaves your anus

[–]skarface6 5 points6 points ago

Yup. There are parts of the border where Mexico is more built up. It proves that Mexico is more betterer.

[–]GrethSC 127 points128 points ago

That's what most of my SimCity regions look like.

[–]ken27238 20 points21 points ago

I just destroy mine with natural disasters.

[–]CosmicBard 20 points21 points ago

The only way to make an accurate mexico.

[–]ls1z28chris 2 points3 points ago

Someone do a patch for a "Cartel Violence" disaster. It could be similar to the riot, but with fewer signs and more headless corpses.

[–]guffeyGF 4 points5 points ago

Simcity2000 in my opinion in the greatest one.

[–]TjokzN 444 points445 points ago

that can't be Mexico, there's no sepia tone.

Anyone else read that as "Hessay?"

[–]sneakycastro75 12 points13 points ago

"Ese"

[–]NIQ702 88 points89 points ago

I can't stand when people try to add "realism" with Photoshop and just end up butchering the colours. Here is the original photo with proper colouring.

[–]PostsWhileDrunk 347 points348 points ago

Mexico is the one on the right :3

[–]NIQ702 454 points455 points ago

Well, this is awkward.

[–]evereal 92 points93 points ago

A+ for effort though.

[–]timfromsweden 56 points57 points ago

8/10 made me laugh on a toilet

[–]Brewster-Rooster 5 points6 points ago

Do it again but the right way

[–]minibeardeath 9 points10 points ago

one of the few times I genuinely laughed out loud.

[–]mainsworth 64 points65 points ago

I thought this was funny even if you got the countries wrong.

[–]NIQ702 30 points31 points ago

Ironically enough, I was going to switch the countries for laughs initially but decided against it. Guess I should've stuck with my gut.

[–]whackojacqo 15 points16 points ago

It's a great accident.. I think Mexico looks far more appealing here anyway. Look at that cold looking US government building

[–]lagann-_- 7 points8 points ago

That "cold looking US government building" is actually a waste treatment plant to clean up all the waste the Mexicans dump in the Tijuana River and send downstream into the US.

[–]Kuusou 6 points7 points ago

It's funny. Before I figured out what side was what, I said to myself "Wow, the United States looks really fucking crowded from this perspective." and I took a minute to look at the other side. I really thought Mexico looked pretty in this picture, the hills, the green grass, the water. I liked it.

Then in an attempt to see where along the border this was, I read some signs within the city. I noticed it was not in English and figured I had been duped. I read the comments and had a good laugh.

What I don't understand, is how people find crowded cities to be appealing at all. Sure that complex on the other side might seem cold but without real context, how could you not think it was just a plant of some kind? I don't think it's cold without the context of it being American, and military.

I find those green hills and the untouched parts of that land to be far more appealing than that crowded city.

[–]pope_fundy 5 points6 points ago

It is just a plant. It is a water treatment plant.

[–]weak_read 3 points4 points ago

Urban living appeals to some folks is all. Your "crowded city" is another man's "city full of life." That being said, Tijuana isn't particularly recommended for either.

[–]Strideo 6 points7 points ago

I had the same idea but then I scrolled down and saw your post was three hours old. But here it is anyways. :P

[–]henry_blackie 16 points17 points ago

I always thought Mexico was on the right...

[–]SourCreamWater 27 points28 points ago

It is.

[–]Avalon143 56 points57 points ago

[–]SMZ72 5 points6 points ago

I'm pretty sure no one is going up to spike against that net...

[–]setram 58 points59 points ago

I'm pretty sure the left is US, and there is a city there, it's just not fully in the shot.

[–]Nolakpd504 29 points30 points ago

There's a neighborhood or something where the highways cross over the border. It is not deserted but it is NOTHING like what you see on the right. Most Americans wouldn't want to live next to the border, rightfully so. Just look at Google Maps.

[–]ElGranChiludo 6 points7 points ago

Yea it's the San Diego border.

[–]HerIndoors 4 points5 points ago

This area is a reserve with San Ysidro to the east and north, and a small patch called Nestor north with Imperial Beach directly north and west of that. Nestor was never claimed by Imperial Beach, San Ysidro or Chula Vista. It is technically part of the City of San Diego because of that. The area you see in the picture is where a river meets the ocean. So it's a bit of wetland, scrub brush, and 'forest'. Lots of ranches surround the area and it's beautiful for horse riding. Nice trails and you can even ride to the beach then up to the top of the hill this photo was taken from. And because idiots like to build in river valleys you can find the remains of abandoned farms from when the area floods. Seems every few years a bad series of storms causes a flood and we're down there chest high in mud trying to rescue horses. Source, I grew up here and stabled horses for a while.

[–]SourCreamWater 5 points6 points ago

This is Imperial Beach. There is a "city" with a skyline about 15 minutes north.

This area has some rural land on the beach where you can rent horses(on the US side) and ride on the beach.

[–]isexcats 33 points34 points ago

I acctually live about 10 minutes away from the border fence, next time i go by it i'll snap a few pics

[–]IKILLYOUWITHMYMIND 29 points30 points ago

Curious Briton here. What is it like living so close to a whole different country, with a different culture, language customs etc. And knowing that even though you are so close and can see it with ease, you have to have a passport and stuff to so much as visit. I live close to the Scottish border, but it isn't quite the same, as I can go there whenever I want (and there is very little in the border regions.)

[–]neodiogenes 24 points25 points ago

Well, the border is definitely a border, no question about it. It's difficult but not impossible to ignore the "Now Crossing Into Mexico" signs and actually get into Mexico without realizing it (and then have to wait hours to get back), but you'd have to be a tourist or someone very unfamiliar with the area.

Otherwise, San Diego has a very high concentration of Mexicans or people of Mexican descent. So it's common to speak or at least hear Spanish, and have relationships with people who work here but live on the other side of the border (because it's much cheaper).

Personally I don't go much into Tijuana, though it's only about 50 miles away. It just seems like too much work for too little reward -- aside from the difficulty crossing the border and finding your way around, Tijuana's reputation has deteriorated so much due to rampant gang violence and police corruption that cheap lobster and tequila seems small incentive.

[–]ElMandrake 10 points11 points ago

Being a Mexican, Tijuana is a place I intend to avoid for the rest of my life.

[–]ElGranChiludo 4 points5 points ago

You must try the tacos, then you will see the incentive for going.

[–]NeoPuma 40 points41 points ago

Hello I'm from Tijuana (the city on the right). People from Tijuana mostly go to San Ysidro (the city on the left) or San Diego to buy clothing, electronics, food, visit family, work, etc. Some time is cheaper. The only downside is that some times you have to wait around 2 hours just to cross the border. The people from San Ysidro or San Diego cross the border to buy cheaper medicine, doctors, vacation, spring breakers and the delicious food. Is a win win situation for both cities. I love my city and I love my city neighbors.

[–]thedreday 3 points4 points ago

Do you need a visa to visit? Does Mexican Customs care that you are bringing in electronics?

[–]NeoPuma 13 points14 points ago

You do need a visa just to cross and a special permit if you plan to cross further than 40 miles, I think. Mexican customs have a policy that you can pass 300 dllrs worth of electronics per person, but you have to explain that is for personal use, if they do not believe you, you have to pay to import the electronics and if you don't have the money I think you lose your stuff.

[–]thedreday 2 points3 points ago

How hard is it to obtain the visa to cross and the special permit?

[–]NeoPuma 7 points8 points ago

When I apply for it it was kind of hard to get the visa because of all the information and documents that you have to provide, you either have to working for at least 5 years, be a house wife, a student or your parents have to provide for you. Don't have a record with the police, have proof of Mexican citizenship, have your country's passport in order and several other stuff. You present all this in an interview. If you apply for the visa you pay around 100 dollars for the visa plus the shipping, then you wait around 30 days and it gets delivered to your house. It usually expires in 10 years and you have to do it all over again. Its more easy now because you send some of the information on the USA customs web site, this a new method for applying for a visa. I have not use this method, so some of my information maybe not up to date. But I heard it easier now.

If you have you visa, and want the special permit. You have to go to the border, there is an office where you apply for it, tell them where you are going to go and when will you be there, pay around 40 dollars per person for the permit and that is it. The permit I think expires in 6 months.

[–]Atej 3 points4 points ago

depends, you make an appointment with the american consulate (most border cities have one, sometimes not even on the border as is the case of my town which is 4 hours away from Juárez, México) then you gotta prove you either study or have a steady job, if you get approved then you get a visa and you get to come and go pretty much as you please within border cities, if you go further into the states you gotta get a permit but it's pretty easy to get one, also, if you've already gotten a visa once (their validity is usually 10 years) you pretty much just renew it

[–]ElGranChiludo 3 points4 points ago

There is virtually no Mexican customs. The problem isn't getting into mexico, its getting out. When you cross into Mexico there is just like a stop and go red light. If you get green, you can drive right through. If you get red, you have to pull up at customs, but that rarely happens. I have maybe got pulled up into custom twice, after going to Mexico hundreds of times and it only lasts about 5 minutes. I have heard though that legally you have to pay a tax when bringing in electronics, but I doubt most customs officers will say anything. And no you don't need a visa, just drive right in.

[–]ElGranChiludo 6 points7 points ago

I am Mexican and also live about 10 minutes from the border in this picture. To me, when I go there it just seems like i'm taking a trip to a different city. I guess since I understand both cultures the transition doesn't seem very hard. I don't really think of it as a new country, much like you. I have gotten into the habit of going there on the weekends just to eat.

[–]bpxrain 7 points8 points ago

I live on the El Paso-Juarez,Mexico border and it's pretty unique also. A few years ago, you didn't even need a passport. When I was a kid, we would go for the day and didn't need any documentation. Nowadays, I think you can get away with U.S. identification since they just implemented the passport requirement.

It's still pretty easy to go back and forth and a lot of people commute daily or weekly. Students may live in Mexico but work or come to school in the U.S. We used to go pretty frequently and we would park in downtown and walk over to Mexico because it's so damn close. The culture thing isn't a big deal since, on the U.S. side, a huge proportion of the population is Hispanic. My parents are from Mexico and having it so close makes getting authentic food ingredients super easy!

I live on the Reynosa-Mcallen border, its pretty unique, in like, people from both sides benefit from it, people from Mexico can go to the US and buy electronics, gadgets, clothes, etc we normally don't find down here, or are actually cheaper in the US. People from the US come down here for affordable doctors and medicines, and of course, the food.

[–]fromhades 23 points24 points ago

"People from the US come down here for affordable doctors and medicines" that is just scary and sad.

[–]PaddyO666 9 points10 points ago

Well, that's the point of for-profit medicine. No profit=No medicine.

[–]Kypt 4 points5 points ago

I grew up in Reynosa as well it was a fun ride back then. We'd do our shopping in the States and american high schools would get drunk in our bars (18 is the legal drinking age but many bars didn't card).

What you don't understand is that much of the southwest US has been flooded by Mexican and other Central and South American immigrants, both legal and illegal, who refuse to "integrate" with American culture. As a result, they retain their own culture and language, and thus there's very little difference between large areas of San Diego and Mexico.

It awful, those guys to the south of us are always carrying concealed weapons, they don't have socialized health care and only 2 political parties. Its crazy that country can function.

[–]crux510 4 points5 points ago

Canadian, eh?

[–]xdxas 10 points11 points ago

[–]Zikro 6 points7 points ago

It seems really easy to cross over illegally.

America has fewer disembodied torsos displayed on public sidewalks.

[–]Brotater 7 points8 points ago

It's like none of you have been to El Paso.

[–]holybejeebus 4 points5 points ago

Except this is the reverse of the El Paso border.

[–]MilesColtrane 5 points6 points ago

Here is one of the Cyprus/Turkey border my husband took ... http://i.imgur.com/Oytzt.jpg

[–]gggrrrrreaaat 4 points5 points ago

I think you mean Republic of Cyprus and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The Republic of Cyprus has legal jurisdiction over the entire island that's recognized by the international community, except Turkey, which is the only country that recognizes Northern Cyprus as a separate country.

My hometown Tijuana, tequila sexo y marihuana

[–]ZZZrp 6 points7 points ago

Fun Fact: This is the only picture of the US-Mexican border in existence, other than a old one from the 70's with people playing volleyball.

[–]pgrily 2 points3 points ago

I sure hope you're trolling...

[–]irish711 3 points4 points ago

No he's right, here's the picture.

[–]rowdy4life -1 points0 points ago

I was really confused which one was which, then I was the "Lopez" sign and realized that's definitely US.

[–]Nightshade1105 2 points3 points ago

I get a view of Tijuana as soon as I step outside, seeing as how I live in San Ysidro, but this perspective is just mind-blowing. I can see my old high school from this view.

[–]gangy86 1 point2 points ago

Cool picture

[–]FrostByt 3 points4 points ago

Mexico makes the US look like a shit hole. I am going to make a run for the border.

[–]Frankenfish 4 points5 points ago

Except that five miles north you are in Sand Diego. This just shows how misleading pictures can be

[–]halfamatt 3 points4 points ago

It looks like that van, left of the motel sign, is missing it's front wheel?

[–]gregooo 2 points3 points ago

FYI, The barren side on the left is actually the US. The city side is Mexico.

[–]stefeyboy 1 point2 points ago

They drive on the RIGHT hand side?! They're almost... civilized

[–]DerangedPigfucker 1 point2 points ago
