As far as I can tell, it's not a statue of Rypien or anything, it just happened to become a spot where fans wrote memorials to him. I don't think it's too farfetched to say that she saw a column with a bunch of writing on it, so she just figured "Hey, I should write something too!", probably without taking the time to really look at it.

Even if she noticed Rick Rypien's name on it, it probably didn't mean anything to her. Guess what? Not everyone pays attention to hockey. I really doubt that she was intentionally trying to disrespect Rick Rypien.

For all the people making death threats and calling her names, please take a step back and look at yourselves. Yes, this girl made a mistake out of ignorance. But that's no reason for people to harass and threaten her over something some household cleaning supplies could fix.

EDIT: Here is a picture of the memorial she wrote on. It's a column for the subway train, and you can even see the spot that she wrote on, right by the white RIP on the right side. Assuming it looked similar to that the night of the concert, and since there was probably a large crowd going to/from the subway, she probably did not look very closely at the surface she was writing on.
