Battle 37

About Photoshop Battles

A subreddit for people to use photo manipulation software to create new images.

Official weekly battles are held where entries are removed for the first 24-hours to give an opportunity for more detailed submissions.

Battle winners pick the photo for the next battle (only upvotes are counted) and all entrants are given subreddit flair.

Rules for Submissions:

I. No Requests or Questions

  • Requests, such as "Please photoshop me or my friend", can be posted to /r/picrequests.

  • Questions, such as "Where else could he be?", or "What else could she be sticking in her mouth?" are not permitted.

II. Titles

  • Your title must be descriptive. Please accurately describe the subject of the photo.

  • No cliches such as "this has potential", "lets see what you guys can do", or "make this epic".

III. Image content

  • Images must be at least 500x500 pixels.
  • No technically low-quality images. Focus, framing, lighting, etc. are important.
  • No links to facebook.
  • NSFW tags must be used generously.
  • No albums, submissions must be a single image.

Submissions that do not follow the rules will be subject to removal by the moderators.

If you notice a submission that violates the rules, please report it to the mods, and send us a message letting us know why it was reported.

Commenting

  • Junk comments distract from this subreddit a lot more than in other subreddits that are not based on original content. As such, comments that are cliche, text-only, not an original work, memes, or off topic are subject to removal by the administrators without notification.

Voting

  • Please vote based on quality of work. Lazy shops shouldn't win just because they made you laugh. You can still vote funny stuff (we can't control you) but keep in mind that people spend lots of time making some really good submissions and deserve as much recognition as the next guy.

  • Please do not downvote submissions because they do not have obvious potential. An image that does not have an easy punchline may be the most creatively inspiring to others.

Please report inappropriate content to the mods.

I don't think that ladder is OSHA approved.

don't mind us citizen, we're fighting crime!

on a completely unrelated note, does anyone know how to make smooth diagonal lines in gimp?

[–]ComplainsAboutDvotes 0 points1 point ago

Paintbrush > hold down shift > left click on (start) point A, left click on (end) point B to paint a straight line. Or did I misunderstand your question?

[–]buckhenderson 1 point2 points ago

this makes jagged lines. i think this is because i want a vectorized version of a straight line, not a rasterized, which is how gimp works. like when i do this, http://i.imgur.com/WjZqi.jpg, you can tell the lines are jagged. maybe it's just because i was looking at the picture in a high zoom while i was making it.

Anti-aliasing is the best hope for you in GIMP; if you want to make a vector, you're gonna need a vectoring program.

The Dark Side of the Moon, right? Pretty damn creative to see that in the original image.

I'm liking where this novelty account is going.
