What the f... what are you talking about? I'm placing parameters? It's in poor taste and incredibly insulting to not credit artists for their work. Not to mention, copying and pasting images to imgur.com without that artist's permission, whether it's the photographer or cosplayer, is copyright infringement. It's not just a habit of "casual users" that should be dismissed with an "oh, you." You don't have to be an artist to realize this is a piss-poor, selfish, and inconsiderate attitude to hold when posting stuff on the internet. It's an attitude that needs to be changed, not condoned. If reminding people that it doesn't take a lot of work to give credit where credit is due is what you call "placing parameters" or what you seem to be interpreting as somehow infringing on any person's perceived freedom to post anything they want at any time without respect to the people whose work it actually is, then that's just too bad. What you call "casual users" aren't somehow magically exempt from common courtesy. This stuff is so easy to track down with the bare minimum of effort. Look up "ms marvel cosplay" on deviantART, and this picture is right at the top.
