Had to paint the guest bedroom. First primed the new drywall.

Walked into the laundry room to wash the paint and brushes, and noticed a wet spot on the floor by my feet.

Move the washer, wet underneath the entire thing. White water everywhere.

Turns out the drain is backing up.

Snake out the drain. Then I notice that the hoses to the washer are leaking. So go to the store, get new hoses, go to remove the old hose and it's fused to the damn pipe.

Try to wrench off the old pipe, there's a crack now in the shutoff valve.

So I go to the hardware store, get some compression fittings and fixed the pipes.

Multiple trips to the store, shop vac the floor, etc. etc.

My 30 min. project turned into half an afternoon, wasted my entire day.

Coming out of winter (Australia), last weekend started the gardening as everything has been ignored in the backyard for the last 4-5months.

There was a hedge that was killing another hedge along my fence in the backyard so decided to take the smaller hedge out without thinking. 40 mins later and a ute full of brush I stand back and admire to my work... Only for my wife to run out and start screaming at me like crazy because the hedge was the only thing stopping our neighbors seeing into our lounge and more importantly the bedroom... Sigh

When I try to be productive on weekends, I end up browsing the intellectual subreddits, because I'm not giving in to my urge to game, but I'm not actually working either.
