It doesn't work that way. The deeper you go, the longer time stretches. Assuming the smaller ones = "going deeper", they would be faster than the others by 20x per layer.

I agree that there definitely is. Inception is an amazing movie. But, like it or not, layers are a pretty important aspect of the film. So I think associating layers directly with the movie Inception makes a lot of sense and shouldn't be corrected (as long as the person says Inception, not 'inception.')

Wrong.

The movie Inception did have dreams within dreams and the like, but the point of the title was that their ultimate goal in the movie was to successfully pull off an Inception- planting an idea in someone's early subconscious. Think of it like a conman's gambit or the like- it's a scenario that a team of crack conmen pull off and they give it a cool name.

Op made a joke by referencing to a part of the movie. So he indeed didn't misused the word "inception", because he was talking about the movie.

I think you and other may be drawing a direct correlation between the concept of inception as presented in the movie, and the style in which it is presented.

Those who use the inception meme as a descriptor for the "thing in its self", may be referring more to the stylistic way the protagonists achieve inception, i.e., traversing one level deeper after another, within a single self-contained dream.

People need to stop taking shit so damn literally. Read between the lines a bit.

Then when ever they go down a level move down a screen and everytime they move up a level fast forward that screen to that point.
