Oh.. my.. god. I made this back in 2004 during my [myg0t] membership when we were mocking Gaben when Valve released a statement concerning the source code leak which was falsely linked to us back then. I did a series of these bad photoshops which you can find below. My appreciation for Gaben and Valve has grown over the years.. changed completely even. But I do not regret making any of these.. it is a part of my youth. Some of there are say less funny to me than they used to be.. but I'll go with it. Please note that I am not seeking for any credit here, I am just surprised to see something stupid I made 8 years ago bump back into me. Too bad the all but one of the GIF's are missing in action. Those were the best imo.

For anyone calling bullshit, here is a snapshot of LeechFTP with somewhat of a proof that I uploaded these in 2004 to that webspace. These images were made with Paint Shop Pro 7, because back then I had no clue how Photoshop worked :D

I take this as a sign that HL3 is almost upon us. See Gabes a great guy, and he knows that the Valve guys have been pouring their hearts and souls into this game for years, but regardless of how awesome a job they do there's still going to be haters. So he's stockpiling weed so he can keep his developers out of their minds high and celebrating for like a month and a half, then when the dust settles and the angry reviews have fadded into obscurity they can come out of flatland, their view of a perfect world with a perfect trilogy unmarred

Ugghhhh I have to go through this with EVERY HL3 post. Half Life 3 is rumored to have been TWICE canceled. The rumors, and they had pretty good industry sources are as follows:

Before HL3 there was episode 3. From Gabes own mouth he has said the episode pricing and pacing wasn't working out and they are dropping it.

So obviously if they were going to make a HL3, episode 3 would need to be expanded into a full game. This was farmed out to a 3rd party whom had it 80% complete when it was rejected after 3 years development.

The game was then given to yet another 3rd party who was subsequently taken off the project only a year in.

It has since been moved to internal development and who the fuck knows it's status. But if the rumors are correct HL3 has been in it's latest cycle of development for about 16 months.

I had a dream last night where I was running from the police.
