I dont like that you used the worst part of jedi, but thats just me

[–]compto35 1 point2 points ago

You mean the whole thing?

While I do like the speeder chase, Ewoks are terrible. I'd much rather have seen something with the Emperor or Vader and Luke.

Very much like these though! Gonna use them as the covers for SW in my XBMC collection.

are you serious? Take the bore-fest that was endor out and I'd argue it as the best entry of the 3. Rescuing Han was an amazing way to open after where we left off and the parts on the death are easily tied with the last act of empire in terms of acting and writing. But as i said, endor kills all of that plain and simple

Bro, that's half the movie. You might as well consider the remainder of Jedi a made-for-TV stopgap between Empire and the final movie.

Acting-wise, Jedi was ok, writing though…the writing was terrible.

I mean c'mon the whole plan of the brilliant Sith Lord after the first Death Star was destroyed was to build a second one? With essentially the same vulnerability? We're talking about the same man that brilliantly manipulated the senate to put him in power and convinced the republic to build him an army of clones which he used to control them afterword. I know power can go to the head, but the guy's a master of strategy.

Why not build a fleet of smaller ships with a slightly less-massive payload in each? These are easier to defend, they can be in more places at once, and if one goes down, you're not completely and utterly crushed. You still have 6 more that can still inflict heavy damage. Why destroy planets at all? Pull a Covenant and nuke the fucking place. Come back when its ready to start producing resources again. A fleet would be better-suited to engage the rebels anyway.

Even if we don't completely disregard Endor for its lack of excitement, it's still a glaring plot issue. The Empire had an unfathomably large amount of staging areas on which they could rebuild their new Death Star, but they chose a moon, covered in dense forrest (for assembling massively cumbersome equipment mind you), and their primary mode of transport were speeders. Speeders that can't maneuver well (in a damn forest) and have next to zero tolerance for collision or impact.

And of all the literary devices or characters the writers could have used to emphasize the traits and relationships between our protagonists, they chose…Ewoks…fucking obnoxious teddy bears. For how adult a tone the series was starting to take, they suddenly decide to insert these stupid little bears with sticks. They served no function to the story.

The score was immature and childish, the lines were awkward and didn't do much to give texture to the characters, and there were more plot holes in this movie than the other two combined. This movie was a flop. But that's my opinion.

ESB was the best. But that's my personal opinion.

The C3P0 seems a bit out of place, otherwise great style
