                                                Steve Irwin's death was both a tragedy and a freak occurrence. Without going into too much depth (since I am not an expert on anatomy) I will leave you with a quote by Ben Cropp and a link to an in-depth discussion about his death:

                                                  No offense, but that's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. As someone who does a fair bit of scuba diving, the idea that there's an organization who goes around removing wild stingray barbs, in the open ocean, for the sole purpose of protecting tourists, is rather idiotic.

                                                    Stingrays are not particularly dangerous in fact. Stingrays rarely sting humans unless they are stepped on. Even then their venom only causes pain and is not life threatening unless the stinger penetrates a vital organ.

                                                    Its looks like stingray city in grand cayman, which means they are not in captivity or de-barbed, its just a natural sandbar in deep water where stingray's naturally congregate. Also stingrays are really undeadly unless you are unfortunate like steve irwin and the barb goes through somewhere like your heart. Usually your gonna be pretty hard pressed to get barbed at all, let alone through an organ. If you are swimming/snorkeling/diving/surfing around about florida and mexico seas you'll probably see/be close to more than a few without even realising

                                                        It is a common tourist activity in the Cayman Islands. You travel to an old fish cleaning spot where stingrays have learned to congregate to eat the scraps thrown overboard by fishermen.

                                                        It is very safe to handle the stingrays as long as one does not attempt to lift them completely out of the water, turn them over, or step on them. Doing so will trigger the stingrays reflex to sting you (which is not fatal unless the stinger happens to penetrate your heart or some other vital organ). It is very rare for an injury to occur.

                                                        In my personal experience,it is quite common for people to freak out around stingrays, but the people in the photo had nothing to fear. Lifting them partially out of the water as shown in the photo will not alarm them. Even then, the barb is designed to sting creatures that are on the opposite side of the stingrays mouth.

                                                        The subjects in the photo should be more scared of getting melanoma due to the powerful Caribbean sun than the stingrays.

                                                        Did you get a chance to see the rare blue iguanas? They are often overlooked in favor of the stingrays and beaches, but seeing the blue iguanas is a worthwhile use of your time in my opinion.

                                                        Tourism is eating up so much of their natural habitat however. Maybe I should advertise them less.

                                                        It was a picture taken at Stingray City in Grand Cayman where one of the tourboat crew (whose job is to wrangle the rays and hold them up for you to get pictures taken with them, though you can just pick them up yourself if you know how) snuck up behind the girls and slid the ray across their backs (this is one of their favorite tricks, as I suspect they enjoy the western girls reactions and every so often one will lose a bikini top in their freak out) while the tour photographer captured the apparent Stingray photobomb. It was posted as an amusing photobomb pic because the Stingray is making an awesome face.

                                                        To those who are thinking this is dangerous as that is the animal that ended the life of the manliest man in recent history, it isn't the same species and even the species that killed Steve is incredibly docile and rarely ever harms humans. As an aside,the first time I went there I was ridiculously scared of stingrays. I've swam with sharks, but I had to be pushed to get in the water with rays. As it turns out they are some of the most awesome animals to interact with in the wild and I now love chilling with them whenever I get the chance.

                                                                          Do they drink fast or like it super well done? If you leave a bag in for too long, it makes the tea start to taste gross. I have to take it out to leisurely enjoy my tea without turning into nastiness.

                                                                          Plus it makes drinking all awkward and weird—and you can possibly swallow the bag!

                                                                          You are correct. Leaving the tea bag in oversteeps the tea and makes it taste bad. The only exception is with herbal tea, which can't really oversteep, as there is generally not actual tea leaves ini t.
