    The last time I was actually scared by something was I was listening to a podcast where the hosts were discussing all their favourite scary movie villains, Freddie, Jason etc. Just them talking about it and teasing my imagination, hinting at stuff was a lot more scary than actually watching the films.

        Karma Decay is a useful tool, but doesn't search all of Reddit, and basically returns results from the major subreddits. Thank you for checking, though, as many people who visit subs such as /r/WTF (which is indexed on Karma Decay) may not even know about /r/creepy (which isn't indexed)...

            That's just a henna design. Popular all over South Asia and many parts of the Middle East and Africa. All South Asian brides get it done on their hands, arms and feet prior to their wedding, as do regular women on festive occasions. Also used as a hair dye. henna

            I surveyed 800,000 south asians a while back and one of the questions was whether they knew/were a bride who had applied henna on the wedding night. 100% said yes but as you point out my sample was not big enough so I just said 99% instead.

              You'd be surprised. For the people in practice, a moderately intricate pattern can take a maximum say 10-15 minutes for a side (as in one palm). If it's really elaborate and/or covers a large area takes obviously longer.
