Thomas Hooper rules.

[–]beej_ 2 points3 points ago

I googled him, all excited like, then this "I am currently unable to accept new clients for tattooing.." on his page. The man definitely deserves a loyal clientele. But damn.

As far as I know he is booked until like infinity. It's pretty much not gonna happen. :(

Most well known artists I have found are the same way. They develop a select client list, and then just work on those same people until they run out of epidermal real estate.

And you know the clients are going to be fuckers and realize that they have a machine-needle-fuck-buddy, and think of new tattoos just to have him give them to them. I can't blame them. I wouldn't kill a golden goose neither.

These graced a tattoo Facebook page I follow today, and I am blown away. Does anyone know if there is a name of this style? I'm not sure if these are going to be colored later on, or if just the outlines themselves is a style unto itself.

The style is called "unfinished"

[–]Mitoni[S] 1 point2 points ago

I think the first one, maybe, but the second looks completed.

Hooper doesn't just leave pieces like that. Here's the same one with a little more shading done on it. I don't think he's finished it yet though. His stuff takes a LONG time.

Ahh, i see what you mean.

Not sure if there's a name for the "style," but I love it. All of my tattoos are just line work and I love them that way.

Id love to see them. I'm always happy to see great work.

the 2nd one is amazing, the first is pretty cool

The first is almost done i think. The artist is James Clouser from Lucky 13 in Kutztown. He did a lot of mine. Great guy.
