Something has always bothered me about the lyrics to the song.

I think
"If anything I could say that this cab was rare"
should be
"If anything I could say to this cab was where"

because the next line is "but I thought, nah forget it, yo home to belair"

I think he is saying "where" to indicate that because he whistled for the cab himself, he could tell the cab to go anywhere he wanted, but instead opted to stick with the original plan of going to belair.

Why would he think about calling the cab rare, but decide against it? That doesn't make any sense.
