"Girl Gamer" -- Among the most controversial and ire-inspiring terms for women who game.

This is a forum for discussing women in geek culture and for women to relate experiences that occur as a result of their gender. We don't condone using one's gender and sex appeal to gain attention in place of merit. ...w-what about our subreddit name?

We seek to counter the phenomenon stated by the Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory, and create a community of mutual respect and no harassment, so we can all have a pretty sweet time.

Don't forget the unwashed hair, greasy face, and potato chips in the bra, unless I'm the only one who turns into a complete slob during a gaming marathon. In which case, please do forget that I said that.

[–]mst3kcrow 223 points224 points ago

You going to eat those chips?

[–]premonition-treeSteam 16 points17 points ago

Dibs!

Edit: I should really reiterate that I imagine it like Penny from Big Bang Theory finding a cheeto in her hair. -> http://i.imgur.com/b5GXw.jpg

[–]fefyfofeather 205 points206 points ago

Psh. Who wears a bra at home?

[–]rocketjumpwaltzSteam 149 points150 points ago

People with E+ cups that cause them crippling back pain D: I attempted a gaming marathon bralesss, and ended up propping up my boobs with my hands every loading screen to give myself some relief.....

[–]Ytriht 16 points17 points ago

I know how you feel. G/H cup here and I envy those who feel freer when they go bra-less. It makes me feel bad, bad, bad.

[–]PSwner 8 points9 points ago

I have small (b-c) perky tits but I have back problems so I still feel better with a bra

[–]proserpinaxSteam 5 points6 points ago

F cup here. My friends talk about taking off a bra as a part of coming home. I wish. I wish so hard.

[–]throwguy 203 points204 points ago

I hope you're a girl.

[–]FAP_TO_ALLTHETHINGS 254 points255 points ago

I couldn't care either way.

[–]panamaspace 3 points4 points ago

I commend you for the cautious use of the beaver.

[–]dumpstergirl 28 points29 points ago

Every so often I get wistful and think it'd be nice to have a big set of jiggly tits. Then I read posts like this and feel better about my moderately-sized teats.

I guess if I ever want to feel chesty I'll have to settle with a push-up bra.

[–]belltollsfortea 9 points10 points ago

I going to name my daughter Chesty McJigglytits.

[–]twistertrv 8 points9 points ago

So your last name is already McJigglytits?

[–]belltollsfortea 21 points22 points ago

Jigglyteats is a small, rural town in Ireland. The spelling was changed when my ancestors arrived in Ellis Island. Please don't make fun.

[–]arquebus_x 9 points10 points ago

Maybe use a breakfast tray...? O.o

[–]hackiepoodle 8 points9 points ago

Dude, using a pillow to prop up your boobs is niiiiiiice, if the sizes fit.

[–]farmthis 7 points8 points ago

this just made me realize that A cups also need a plus.

seriously.

Who would call themselves a B cup if they could be an A+

Asian dad wouldn't... but that's not really asian dad's business I guess.

[–]minnimaus 7 points8 points ago

When I get home, the bra comes off, then shoes.

[–]phedre 41 points42 points ago

For all day gaming marathons, I roll out of bed, put my hair up, make coffee, and sit on the sofa in my PJs. Years of traveling as a consultant mean I'm more comfortable gaming on a laptop than a desktop - I can't transition to playing at a desk at all.

Usually by the end of the day I've spilled beer somewhere, and I've shaken tortilla chips out of my top.

[–]notalandmine 22 points23 points ago

That first sentence sounds so simple and satisfying.

[–]phedre 24 points25 points ago

Well, I do wash my face. Gotta get rid of the raccoon eyes from the mascara I didn't wash off the night before.

[–]notalandmine 20 points21 points ago

I like how you didn't want me to carry any delusions of simplicity.

[–]premonition-treeSteam 6 points7 points ago

Not washing off my eye makeup before bed when I have nowhere to go the next day is oddly one of the most satisfying feelings.

[–]Alytia 8 points9 points ago

That sounds... amazingly organized. I'm imagining you sitting in some pristine white designer lounge room somewhere in a silk dressing gown. I usually just fall out of bed, stagger over the computer and boot it up with my head resting in my hands. I then proceed to game until all the food within arms length has disappeared and my eyes hurt so much that doing the 'one eye shut one eye open then switch' trick doesn't work anymore. :/

[–]phedre 4 points5 points ago

LOL! God no. I just can't function without my coffee. And my PJs are usually plaid.

[–]dumpstergirl 79 points80 points ago

Ah, picking dropped potato chips out of one's cleavage. The brunch of champions.

I don't think guys have any idea how disgusting we get when we game.

[–]phedre 25 points26 points ago

BWAHAHA OH GOD. I am so glad I'm not the only one that does this.

[–]Xorg_Xalargsky 10 points11 points ago

I get chips in my beard if this can provide you with a sense of comfort.

[–]mw4h90WoW 20 points21 points ago

Boob food taste better. Amirite???

[–]SkylockeSteam 39 points40 points ago

I like to see 'em as hidden emergency rations. "In case of hunger, release bra."

[–]dumpstergirl 29 points30 points ago

Yeah. The best part is that when you drop cookie bits, the body heat partially melts the chocolate chips.

Warm, molten bra-cookiess..... nom.

[–]SkylockeSteam 14 points15 points ago

Bras: the latest in pressure-cooking technology.

[–]farmthis 10 points11 points ago

Your name :|

[–]holyice7 10 points11 points ago

I need to come into this subreddit more often.

...

Wait, let me rephrase that...uh...

[–]poo-poo 16 points17 points ago

They're pretty damn hilarious. I'm trying to only lurk and not fuck it up for these women but god damn. This thread is gold.

[–]darkartistliz 7 points8 points ago

If something falls between my boobs while gaming my boyfriend fishes it out... We usually do gaming marathons together..

[–]JillGr 33 points34 points ago

I barely wear a bra even when out haha... but I will admit, nothing NOTHING feels as good as when I rip it off and just SCRAAAAATCH

[–]HyperactiveJudge 15 points16 points ago

I've noticed that when I have girls over, that is one of the first orders of business "Remove the damn bra", seems to be like a miniorgasm at times.

[–]JillGr 14 points15 points ago

it's my favorite thing to do as soon as I get home... the best was when I lived alone so I could do it as soon as I walked in the door... now I have to wait till I get to my bedroom

[–]ninja_guineapigSteam 14 points15 points ago

My roommate and I both have the habit of taking off our bras at random times. We often have small accumulations of bras around the house, and I've gotten really good at taking it off under my shirt, so it's a bit of a magic trick to suddenly whip a bra out from my shirt. Or I'm just easily entertained.

[–]speakersgoboomboom 6 points7 points ago

I used to think bra removal while wearing a shirt was MAGIC. It didn't occur to me until years after I first saw a friend do it that I could probably learn how... Whipping it out from under my shirt still makes me giggle.

[–]Adarlin24 11 points12 points ago

My husband loves watching me do this and DOES think its magic. Plus I do it quickly while we're in a dungeon and he gets distracted lol. "What's wrong with the tank?!" Little do they know..

[–]B4ronSamedi 25 points26 points ago

when I have girls over

Good one!

[–]JoeRuinsEverything 23 points24 points ago

A gaming marathon is only half the fun if you're not turning into a bag of dirt. After a serious Torchlight 2 binge i found a gummybear stuck to my arm.

[–]iamablackbeltman 18 points19 points ago

Did you eat it?

[–]dumpstergirl 32 points33 points ago

C'mon.. who'd waste a perfectly good gummibear?

[–]sexi_squidward 15 points16 points ago

If I don't shower before I start gaming I become all super gross. I usually shower in the mornings (the curses of having thin hair) so if I don't shower right away...prepare for greasy me playing video games lol

[–]astraellyPC 26 points27 points ago

This is a pretty good representation of what I/my room look like while I'm playing games, except I don't have as nearly as good of a body.

[–]BigRedDSP 15 points16 points ago

I feel like that's less than most guys. I wear fleece pants and a t-shirt at least. My girlfriend does find it a little ridiculous that I spin the couch so it's length wise from the tv so I can prop pillows behind my back against the arm rest and stretch out. Hearing how slovenly everyone else is makes me feel better about skipping a shower some weekend days.

[–]astraellyPC 13 points14 points ago

It'd be kinda fun to do a poll of sorts. My brother's typical gaming uniform is a t-shirt and boxers. My boyfriend dresses much the same as me. First order of business when we get back to the apartment to play games? Strip, toss the clothes on the ever-growing pile of dirty laundry, turn on the computer. God, my room is disgusting. If I were single in my current state, I'd probably stay single.

Of course, it helps that I live alone. Once I move back in with the parents, I'll probably have to start wearing clothes again.

[–]rocketjumpwaltzSteam 13 points14 points ago

My favourite thing about this picture is the cross-legged-ness. I love gaming cross-legged, even awkwardly in a chair with armrests, it just feels so cosy and tucked-up. I get weird looks at LAN parties for it, but it's the best way to game!

[–]darkartistliz 4 points5 points ago

Me too I prefer to like sit on one leg and have the other like pulled up so I can rest my chin on my knee

[–]Sk8nk 3 points4 points ago

Not gonna lie, I totally sit at my PC and game in my undies with no bra. Battlefield 3 just wouldn't be the same.

[–]EmersonWolfeALL THE SYSTEMS 18 points19 points ago

I tend to be a complete slob while gaming. You're not alone.

[–]carolinax 12 points13 points ago

Oh man...I'm in the middle of a mass effect series bender right now. I'm relating so hard right now.

Edit: binger? Bender. Too busy saving galaxy

[–]mycollywobbles 6 points7 points ago

After a all nighter in Skyrim over the weekend, it was Fruity Pebbles in my bra.

[–]righteo 2 points3 points ago

Potato chips crumbs in the bra?! I call it "yellow glitter."

[–]seekfear 6 points7 points ago

TIL : None of you girls wear a bra at home.

I thought my gf was the only one... I felt special, until 5 minutes ago.

[–]ghostofmybrainSteam 2 points3 points ago

I wear mine at home. I will be sure to tell my boyfriend how special he really is.

[–]premonition-treeSteam 2 points3 points ago

Don't take it like you aren't special; just keep enjoying your awesome relationship!

[–]PinslateSteam 77 points78 points ago

Oh. I thought this was /r/gaming till I saw the sidebar. Was wondering why there was no flaming.

Carry on.

[–]ChaosLFG 9 points10 points ago

It's nice, isn't it?

[–]PinslateSteam 3 points4 points ago

Very. I enjoy it.

[–]helencopter360 33 points34 points ago

Hahaha that's pretty much me except all my hair is piled right on top of my head in the most outrageously silly looking bun imaginable.

[–]Allikuja 7 points8 points ago

I'm always amused to see those kinds of buns on people (you'd be surprised how many people don't consider mcD's drivethru "public", or just don't care what I think of them.) ((that being said, I don't really give a fuck, and actually really enjoy finding things to compliment my customers about.))

[–]fisheye32 48 points49 points ago

I wish red lipstick looked good on me.

[–]phedre 35 points36 points ago

What's your complexion like? All reds won't look good on everyone, but everyone has a red that'll look awesome! My winner was Deeply Adored from MAC's new Marilyn Monroe collection. I'm pale, dark auburn hair, with freckles and it just ROCKS. But I couldn't wear the Charmed I'm Sure from the same collection, too orange.

If you have a MAC store nearby, stop in and ask for advice on a red you can wear.

[–]Helen_Damnation 12 points13 points ago

I'm super pale, yellow undertones so I needed a blue-based red. I was told Mac's Russian Red looks good on just about any skin tone and I love it.

[–]phedre 4 points5 points ago

Yeah it's an awesome one. I have that too!

[–]fisheye32 5 points6 points ago

I'm pretty dark colored, which is why red looks pretty gaudy on me.

[–]phedre 30 points31 points ago

Oh god no - you can totally rock a red, you just need to find the right one. I'm often jealous of the gorgeous reds that darker complexions can handle - they make my pasty ass look sick. It's probably more of a "I'm not used to this shocking red on my face" that makes you think gaudy - I felt the same at first!

Here are some great comparison swatches:

http://www.makeupgeek.com/best-of/my-top-5-red-lipsticks/

Head to a MAC counter and ask for some tips, and check out Viva Glam I and Dubonnet. They may have better recommendations than that though :)

[–]alarumba 8 points9 points ago

I'm male. What colour would suit me?

[–]phedre 15 points16 points ago

Same advice - head to the MAC counter, ask for tips based on your complexion.

[–]ByeujiPC/Steam 4 points5 points ago

Heck, ask them to do a palette! They'll make your face up and then tell you what they used. That's one of my favorite parts of spending a day with my girlfriends.

[–]phedre 3 points4 points ago

So much this. I love going to make up counters and having people try out new things on me! It's how I found my beloved Bobbi Brown Hot Pink lip gloss. Hot pink is not something I would have EVER tried on my own, but it suits me perfectly!

[–]fauxmosexual 16 points17 points ago

This post is quite visible in /r/all.

[–]classy_stegasaurus360 15 points16 points ago

Oh. So I guess we've become a bit overwhelmed by a few butthurts. Ah well, this stuff happens to every non-default subreddit

[–]xAbaddon 259 points260 points ago

Jesus Christ, some of these fucking comments are ridiculous. I'm from /r/all, good post OP. Sorry you have to deal with some of these dumbfuck comments.

[–]smackfairyALL THE SYSTEMS 113 points114 points ago

Nice to see this comment up top. The comments here are the perfect example of why us ladies have our own subreddit.

[–]criticalfreddyk 53 points54 points ago

Came here from r/all as well, I guess this is what happens when a female oriented reddit gets some recognition and starts to gather followers. I've noticed that unless you keep numbers down and keep it low key, you're gonna get washed out with trash. Not saying it's right or fair, just an observation.

[–]ByeujiPC/Steam[M] 27 points28 points ago

Yeah, we try to keep it lowkey as much as we can, but every once in awhile we get a huge post like this and in come the trolls. We just encourage our subscribers to report anything off-color and we deal out moderation to them pretty liberally.

[–]criticalfreddyk 20 points21 points ago

I saw your response to smackfairy, and I'm sorry but I do not envy your job, or the job of any moderator of a female oriented reddit. Best of luck to you!

[–]ByeujiPC/Steam 10 points11 points ago

There are more days of joy and the feeling of doing good than there are days like this. Overall, I like it a lot. If I didn't have a big enough poo-poo cup to handle some trolls, I wouldn't have offered to help :)

[–]criticalfreddyk 8 points9 points ago

You do this reddit a great service, I might just stick around and see what it's like here. :)

Also, you could play a fun game of "see how many new subscribers you have every time a post hits the front of r/all."

[–]ByeujiPC/Steam 9 points10 points ago

We do play that game >.>

That last time we hit /r/all, we got about 200 new subscribers. We're well on our way to hit that mark again with this thread. We'll see tomorrow when the numbers are all in :)

[–]criticalfreddyk 3 points4 points ago

Do you really play this game? Seriously??? That's hysterical!

[–]smackfairyALL THE SYSTEMS 46 points47 points ago

No, it's true. Reading comments in the large subreddits makes me lose faith in humanity.

[–]criticalfreddyk 31 points32 points ago

I removed r/funny, r/WTF, r/pics, and I think one or two more. My Reddit experience has become monumentally better for doing so. If that's what you like then so be it, but look at r/all. Picture after picture after picture, and every one of them are reposts. It seems counter-intuitive at first, but you start to realize as user base increases, content decreases.

Side note: I'm not sure why I'm ranting on girlgamers, these lovely ladies don't really have much to gain from it.

[–]smackfairyALL THE SYSTEMS 17 points18 points ago

It's ok, this lady will rant with you! I removed most of those as well. I steer clear from /r/all cause it looks like a giant shit pile. People love being anonymous assholes.

Fuck it, people are mostly shitty in real life, too. I live in a major city and I work a customer service job.

[–]criticalfreddyk 6 points7 points ago

What notable and more importantly low key reddits have you added? TrueReddit is becoming fairly popular but the posts aren't bad at all. Then I've got r/masonjars for some reason as well. I like really small yet mildly active reddits.

[–]smackfairyALL THE SYSTEMS 10 points11 points ago

I really like /r/masseffect, although it hasn't been as active of late. Then there are the other cool ones for ladies(and gentlemen are welcome too) like /r/MakeupAddiction and /r/RedditLaqueristas.

Just found /r/TalesFromRetail the other day and I am loving it(in a cathartic kind of way).

[–]criticalfreddyk 0 points1 point ago

Ha, I've got one similar to TalesFromRetail, its [http://www.reddit.com/r/justrolledintotheshop](r/JustRolledintotheShop). Horror stories from mechanics.

[–]whyufail1 6 points7 points ago

Yeah, my first thought was "this sub is a thing? whelp, secret is out now, brace for impact..." and the internet did not disappoint, or I guess I should say it did. Either way, there's going to be residual creeping for weeks now.

[–]ByeujiPC/Steam[M] 22 points23 points ago

I just got back from classes and ALL THE REPORTS! Criminy... keep it up though, I'm weeding through them one by one!

[–]Babywolf 136 points137 points ago

Awesome. Now I want a community that gets all fixed up (more classy though) and just hangs out and plays games, could be fun.

Drunk raiding in WoW, never again.

[–]phedre 10 points11 points ago

Drunk raiding in WoW is the ONLY way to play.

I drink because of the dpsers.

[–]Squirrelson 10 points11 points ago

I was a healer, I drink because of everyone.

Fun fact 3am haven't slept in 2 days green dragon in ICC 10 as a pally was surreal

Healer here. I also drink because of the DPS.... I'm sensing a pattern.

[–]TararoarBattle.net 2 points3 points ago

Healer here. I drink because of mana.

Or I could just sit here and regen because my spirit is so high.

[–]LaughterZombieGuild Wars 2 18 points19 points ago

Hahah I remember some drunk adventures in WoW. Though me drinking while playing an MMO usually leads to me off in a corner farming the same mob that keeps respawning.

[–]underdsea 5 points6 points ago

Really? Barrenschat, trolling - back in my WoW days

[–]cornisgood13 3 points4 points ago

Barrens chat has been broken up since Cata, a mere remnant of its former glory. People still fuck around though.

[–]XzombiewafflezX 8 points9 points ago

mmm.. drunken mmo playing, best grinding in dungeon time ever, specially if your dungeon party consists of 8 people who are all completely tipsy and all voice chatting together in the same channel, there is inappropriate jokes and toon death everywhere. Not a single person knows what theyre doing or in fact cares that they're doing everything wrong.:P

Great times in the moment... though it hits you in the morning when you log in and see the destruction you've brought upon your character lol.

[–]LillaenaPC Gamer 8 points9 points ago

One of my best mates and I got my now-boyfriend (but then he was just my GM) to boost us through a dungeon when we were drunk. My mate and I were together in the same place, but my boyfriend wasn't. It ended up with us running around the house chasing each other and going "OOOH WE SHOULD GET A TAKEAWAY!!!" while my boyfriend sat there going "um ... guys? .... helloooo....?" as our characters just sat down AFK. I think he ended up kiting all the mobs to where we were and killing them so that we could get the exp, bless him <3

[–]MundoChemicalRomance 5 points6 points ago

With my friends, we have had times where we take out wine, cheese, and often expensive organic fruit, and have classy dinner while we play whatever it is we plan on playing.

[–]PSwner 4 points5 points ago

I suggested a scotch, dresses, and gaming night with girls..... Got laughed at:'(

[–]Babywolf 3 points4 points ago

I always get laughs when I try to be fancy as well. People these days just have no class.

[–]TheKittymeister 3 points4 points ago

Like going to see Bond movies in fancy wear.

[–]lingrushSteam 5 points6 points ago

[–]Asurnasurpal 2 points3 points ago

I sometimes wear 1380s garb when gaming. Does that count?

[–]Babywolf 2 points3 points ago

As long as you feel fancy then sure!

[–]GANGNAM_GUNDAM 2 points3 points ago

Am I weird for playing games in my outdoor clothing?

In fact, am I weird for wearing my good clothes all of my waking life? I rarely dress like a slob, I can't be bothered to constantly change clothes when I go from outdoors to indoors.

[–]bobbieluvsya 3 points4 points ago

Same here. I dress up pretty for me, not for anyone else, so it's pretty much a constant that I have my sexy clothes on and my hair and makeup done.

[–]phedre 2 points3 points ago

I tend to take off my "good" work clothes when I get home and hang them up. I don't need cat hair and wrinkles in my nice suits & cashmere sweaters. I'll change into jeans and a t-shirt or PJs depending on time and inclination.

Just keep reporting anything you see. We don't want it here either. This subreddit will only be ruined if the reports stop coming :)

[–]Golden-Calf360, Steam 2 points3 points ago

I noticed that this post in /r/games had a warning that it made it to /r/all, maybe that would be a good thing to implement here when posts get this big? That way subscribers know that some of the post's comments might be a bit of a headache to read.

[–]ByeujiPC/Steam 2 points3 points ago

That's a good idea. I'll see what we can do about throwing a warning up in the future.

[–]myfrontpagebrowserOther/Some 7 points8 points ago

Yeah, I too was confused with the comments that really aren't normal for this subreddit. Now I understand.

I did my bit by mass downvoting the fucktards, even though I am one of the /r/all people in this case.

That's unfortunate. You still remain photograph-able. When I'm at home and gaming the only thing I absolutely need is underwear. So if I bothered to show you what I looked like while gaming it would quickly become the top on /r/WTF. Also, I tend to stare rather then make faces. I have realized I would sound less insane to my house mates if they didn't hear me yelling at nothing. :P

[–]mw4h90WoW 36 points37 points ago

Way too many times have a crawled out of bed naked, wrapped a blanket around me and have spent the day playing video games. There really isn't anything more wonderful. Clothes hold you back :D

[–]Wigglez1 13 points14 points ago

we used to have a person in my old WoW guild who would play naked during new boss attempts for some extra luck.

[–]turkproof 3 points4 points ago

I used to tell my raid to literally go stand outside for a few minutes if we were constantly wiping. That would have been awkward.

[–]vagattakALL THE SYSTEMS 16 points17 points ago

Funny, I game on my PC and I have the expression of Kirsten Stewart - then when I'm on a console, out comes my rage face. Also thanks for reminding me to take off my fucking bra!

[–]cheshire137PS3 4 points5 points ago

I experience this, probably because I have better control with a mouse/keyboard than I do with a controller.

[–]1millionaccountsSteam 14 points15 points ago

You make some awesome faces.

[–]brokenvader 3 points4 points ago

This. I hate when people say that, but it feels appropriate here.

[–]Tashre 17 points18 points ago

TIL girls make Xena's war cry when playing video games.

[–]interwubbasprincess hair 360 6 points7 points ago

First, I love this. Second, it makes me proud to be a part of a subreddit that handles its trolls, naysayers and willful morons with such poise, whit and intelligence. You ladies are amazing.

[–]AnAdventureCoreGamer 40 points41 points ago

How some guys

Thank you for this.

[–]narpas(secretly a boy) 5 points6 points ago

Chiming in to also appreciate.

[–]sofiesyd 67 points68 points ago

I'm new here, but I really like the idea of a community for girls only. It just seems that almost everything being posted is about girl gamers relative to boy gamers. Either it's trying to be sexy or it's ''we don't look sexy while gaming''. To me the appeal is a place where I don't have to do anything besides gaming to fit in.

[–]dumpstergirl 64 points65 points ago

I like it so we can actually talk about games without guys being like: "XOMG ur only a gamergrrrl not a real gamer!! u just want attention frumguys and ar not a real gamer!11!!"

Some of the discussion we have here in /r/gamergirls, if had in /r/gaming/, would be sidetracked by this sort of nonsense. I mean, look at aptly-named HyperactiveJudge's reply to the above poster. That is the exact shit we don't want to deal with.

That and the /r/creepyPMs .

[–]narpas(secretly a boy) 9 points10 points ago

I was close to the one thousandth subscriber, and I don't post much because I feel like this should be a place generally made up of women, but it's seriously an /r/gaming that doesn't make me angry.

[–]Mercfh 9 points10 points ago

But....isn't this post doing the same thing (I mean the topic). Or is that what you were referencing? (Im not being sarchastic im actually asking)

[–]emptyopen 6 points7 points ago

Well basically I'd say it's pretty much impossible until the demographic changes. It's not just in gaming, in any kind of system the minority will be compared to the majority. Gender, race, age... it's all the same. Until there is a 50/50 gender split, "girl gamers" will always be a theme, I think.

[–]Mercfh 2 points3 points ago

Agreed, Maybe as time goes on. I feel like it's becoming "less" of a deal. Especially in large scale games. But then again im a male so I don't know the other side.

[–]theblueberryspirit 4 points5 points ago

Yeah, it's generally why I don't post too much in this subreddit. There's only so many 'This lady armor is ridiculous!' posts I care about. I'm more of a browser.

[–]Mr_Ballyhoo 4 points5 points ago

Do you have pets or housemates? Do they think you're crazy and talking to yourself when you play with headphones on? MY dog gives me weird looks when I get excited and raise my voice at the TV and my housemates think I talk to myself cause they can't hear the 6 other people in my party chatting away. But playing with headphones is the only way to go IMO. You hear EVERYTHING!

[–]Lertz 3 points4 points ago

I love the days when I can just get up, make a cup of tea and get straight onto WoW for a good 15 hour marathon. I don't get out of my pyjamas and the only thing that makes me leave my desk is to go to the bathroom. I tend to neglect food when gaming though.

[–]alrebmik 3 points4 points ago

Omg this is absolutely perfect.

[–]Stucifer2 30 points31 points ago

As a male gamer, I am sure 95% of the time I look like the bottom two pictures while playing. But she certainly cleans up a lot better than I ever could. Girl: 1 Me: 0

[–]Ravek 62 points63 points ago

But she certainly cleans up a lot better than I ever could.

But have you tried wearing fabulously red lipstick and a push up bra?

[–]BigRedDSP 17 points18 points ago

You forgot to ask for pics if he has.

[–]Stucifer2 16 points17 points ago

Not yet, but I will consider it. Any little bit helps, right?

[–]chornu 10 points11 points ago

Yep. This is pretty accurate.

[–]YinelloPC/Steam 10 points11 points ago

Haha! xD

In a way I'm a lot the same as the last panel, except with more console throwing.

[–]KommunistKirov 10 points11 points ago

Confession time... I'm actually slightly scared of girls playing competitive games and loosing.

Mostly to the part that I used to play LoL with a girl who was an amazing player and a very kind person overall... But when our team lost, fire and brimstone does not begin to describe it. Entire vent channel exploded in the shouts of most profane kind and the decibel value of an average death metal concert.

But still! Great person and if you are reading this, please please don't hit me.

[–]Aptheater 7 points8 points ago

Well done!

[–]CaityH 2 points3 points ago

This reminds me of myself hahah

[–]Lundynne 2 points3 points ago

Why is the font size smaller on the bottom two frames?

[–]form_wrestle_account 22 points23 points ago

I just wanted to complement your photography skills and your keen eye for social commentary.

[–]Eros_Narcissus 31 points32 points ago

Wow, you were sincere, earnest and complimentary. Fuck you, right?

[–]form_wrestle_account 8 points9 points ago

I know, up the A!

[–]capslockPKMN&Everything[M] 8 points9 points ago

I thought it was nice of you. :p

[–]form_wrestle_account 2 points3 points ago

aw, thanks!

[–]DerivativeMonsterSteam 6 points7 points ago

Reads more like bitter sarcasm to me.

[–]Eros_Narcissus 2 points3 points ago

The lady's original post was incisive and demonstrated both an understanding and ability with a camera, so I don't understand how you could possibly have read it that way.

[–]Nakedp00per 4 points5 points ago

That looks like the Gears controller that came with the gears custom console.

[–]JillGr 3 points4 points ago

I loved this

[–]imsofluffyALL THE SYSTEMS 5 points6 points ago

Thumbs up for you! This is TOTALLY true

[–]fudaru 2 points3 points ago

Spot on!

[–]Ragecomicwhatsthat 3 points4 points ago

WHERE DID YOU GET THAT RED XBOX CONTROLLER.

By the way, I'm a guy. saw that post on /r/subredditdrama and I had to see the picture.

I'll leave your subreddit now.

[–]ChaosLFG 2 points3 points ago

It's fine for you to be here, I'm a guy too really. It's all about mutual respect and not being an asshole.
