I was also thinking it could be a malignant cron tab inserted into the system by a wisecracking IT student. Easy enough to write an automatic 15-minute shutdown one.

Hell, it could even just be an AppleScript placed in the startup items folder.

More than likely if it is a Late 2007 20" iMac it is ether going to be a problem with the power supply or DC-in cable. Big issue for those units.

      I've had my iPhone for 4 years now. People can say what they like about this not being a "big improvement" model, but by now, my bluetooth is shot, the home button is sticky, and it's getting slower. I'm upgrading to the newer model because it's going to fix my only issues. Maps suck? Who gives a shit, I've been using the TomTom app for years now and it's saved the day on numerous occasions against my friends' Android devices.

      Sure does. I'll report back when I receive the new phone. May be a few weeks though. I should say that using TomTom data is different from using TomTom's package. You ever checked out a restaurant's "where we are" page only to see a stripped down google map? They share infrastructure for sure, but TomTom has been at this and focused much longer.

      I don't know if it's just Siri but I tried voice searching a street recently and it either gave me a suburb of the same name or it could not find it in the suburb i was currently in, as the street name was in the next suburb over.

      Using the actual map app found it though.

      I have to wonder how to date the data is at times.

      I did a search using Siri for pizza shops, as i work at one that opened back in feb just to see if it came up. Not only did it not come up, it listed another one that had closed a few years ago.

      Tried a fast food joint i used to work at, right phone number but the store located was an hour away from the one I was after.

      Thank you! I've had my 8GB iPod Touch for four years. Please, tell me how sucky the iPhone 5 is. My lock button doesn't work. Safari won't stay open for more than ten minutes. The software itself is nearly shot. It lags on everything. It can only run certain programs. The home button doesn't work occasionally. I feel like my iPod is a computer from 2002 and everyone is running with Alienwares.

      Go to Settings->Accessibility->turn on AssistiveTouch. This places a home button on your screen that is permanently on top of all the apps so you can now forgo the physical home button.

      I road my bicycle 3000 miles across the United States of America using only the Maps function on a disconnected iPhone. Thank goodness for free McDonalds WIFI.

      Best part was when it brought me into a Bear Hunting Game Territory in North Carolina and left me for dead.

      Those maps, were Google maps. I too owned iDevices long ago. Now, it's forced to use the Apple maps app. Still works if you use Google maps on the browser.

          Along with the wave in the paper, the diagonal lines caused by the keyboard and lines on the page cause an optical illusion as you're reading from left to right. If it does this by simply looking at it...uh...I don't know what to tell you.
