The meme is of three jeopardy contestants, two of which doing very well, one with $9600 and one with $19200, then the other contestant is at -$1600, that contestants name is Tyrone, the caption is "Shit Tyrone : Get it Together".       Apparently I missed the point of the OP's post in that it was a response to another post which I haven't yet seen. But I thought I would at least respond to you.

      You're right that I wouldn't give two shits about "Bubba Enkins". The reason for that is simple: The two parodies are different.

      In the parody of so-called "white trash" (which I have vehemently defended on occasion, I'll have you know), the group has a modifer: "trash". They're being called out as a subset of white Americans, not as the typical white American, or the only white American. That classifies it as a cultural attack, with which I have no problems, whether they're of blacks or not.

      However, lampoons of black culture don't often make the distinction between cultural and racial humor - they don't acknowledge that blacks are individuals. And while I'll admit that this may be that most people are starved for evidence to the contrary, that evidence is out there, and in the absence of proof, well shit, why not use common sense?

      Lastly I'll admit that the guy in the picture made himself a racial parody whether he is aware of it or not. For that, he deserves a fair bit of lampooning, but I wouldn't always make this claim that about people whether they're white or black trash. Sometimes the environment creates YOU, and there is little that can be done about it.

      The problem is that if someone criticizes or lampoons street culture ("street vernacular", "street clothes", "street 'attitude'") it is somehow racist to black people.

      The environment does create you, and Social Darwinism will sort out the unfortunate folk born into an unfortunate situation.

      But makeing fun of these people, be them black or white or whatever, does not make it racist.

      I've lived in the south my entire life (Tennessee and Texas), and in my entire life I've very rarely if ever seen true racism;

      For example; i've seen white people, black people, asian people, Mexican people and everything in between call someone who was dressed and/or acting like a "street" or as a "hood figure" (regardless of their skin color....e.g. a black person in a suit calling a white "thug" a stupid nigger or a white guy in a suit calling a brown [mexican] "thug" a stupid nigger)....

      I'm rambling now, but i'll leave with the following: I can't recall anytime in my life where I saw a person of any color be the subject of racism if they dressed/spoke/carried their self well.
