Beware of trading scammers!

A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports).

"Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

Posting Rules

  • Posts must be directly gaming-related. Thus, "generic" image macros/memes (where the character itself is not related to gaming) like Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, etc. will be removed. Something that "reminds you of a game", or "looks like something from a game" is also not an appropriate submission; similarly, reaction GIFs are also not appropriate as submissions.

  • Following Reddiquette is encouraged

  • No "general" URL shorteners (bitly, tinyurl, etc). Single-site URL shorteners (such as youtu.be or fav.me) are allowed.

  • No game or product giveaway of any kind

  • NSFW submissions and comments must be labeled

  • Spoilers can be posted using the following formatting:
    [X Kills Y](/spoiler)
    Result: X Kills Y.

  • To mark a spoiler as relevant to a specific game/topic, use the alternate formatting:
    [Player 1 wins](/spoiler "Pong")
    Result:
    Player 1 wins

  • Report posts containing spoilers not using the above method

  • Don't post users' personal information.

Submission Rules

Is your post not showing up? Do not delete it. Wait 5 minutes to give AutoModerator a chance to look at it; it approves most submissions automatically. If it hasn't shown up after more than 5 minutes, simply message the moderators and ask us to let it through.

Who thought "add an answer" would ever be a good idea?

[–]LurksWithGophers 502 points503 points ago

And why are they always checkboxes not radio buttons...

[–]DavidTheWin 350 points351 points ago

People using checkboxes when they really want to use radio buttons annoys me more than it should

[–]Emphursis 175 points176 points ago

Incidentally, radio buttons where check boxes are required are far more annoying.

[–]skyman724 100 points101 points ago

You are:

○ Male

○ Female

○ <20 years old

○ >20 years old

[–]calvindog717 44 points45 points ago

well technically, somebody could be exactly 20 and only have to check either A or B.

[–]stalka 45 points46 points ago

The emphasis should be on "exactly", like:

well technically, somebody could be exactly 20 and only have to check either A or B.

[–]yeah_yeahk 15 points16 points ago

Or on "could," but definitely not "be"

[–]_liminal 4 points5 points ago

or check all 4 if that person is a 20 year old hermaphrodite

[–]CoolOppo 35 points36 points ago

Hmm, do I want FM or FM?

[–]MacGuyverism 18 points19 points ago

[–]Drumedor 16 points17 points ago

Because it's radio buttons.

[–]MacGuyverism 7 points8 points ago

Checkmate.

[–]skyman724 4 points5 points ago

Why was FM all the way down to 76 MHz back then?

Hell, everything below 90 is blank! That thing is useless except for those iPod things that send out a radio signal at 88.1.

[–]jhontheunmortal 28 points29 points ago

So that's why I'll be listening to KNTU 88.1 and it'll randomly switch to rap for a few seconds.

[–]skyman724 17 points18 points ago

Yep.

BTW, don't tailgate someone who's listening to rap.

[–]jhontheunmortal 2 points3 points ago

But I don't tailgate anyone.

[–]Volvagia356[!] 25 points26 points ago

Japan's FM frequency range is from 76MHz to 90MHz. That might be a Japanese radio.

[–]kindabiglie 54 points55 points ago

You can tell by the elaborate Japanese writing on the unit.

[–]zogworth 3 points4 points ago

We have a grey import japanese car and the built in stereo and speedo are in english. There are information stickers elsewhere that have japanese on. But its the same with french and german cars. All the dials are in english.

[–]MacGuyverism 14 points15 points ago

I found some interesting info there:

In 1945 the FCC decided that FM would have to move from the established 42 - 49 megahertz pre-war band to a new band at 88 - 108 megahertz, to make way for television. Both in frequency spectra and consumer dollars. Therefore, all radios with an FM band of 88 to 108MHz are post-war. RCA's David Sarnoff in particular wanted FM to "go away" so the public wouldn't be distracted from buying his latest up and coming product: televisions. Maybe if Armstrong said to Sarnoff in the early days that FM sound would be perfect for the television soundtrack, they wouldn't have become rivals. Turns out modern TV doesn't even use this spectra. There was to be a channel 1 here. But co-channel interference from stations in distant towns would occasionally happen. And this would be worse for television than FM signals, as FM has the FM capture ratio working in its favor. FM receivers will capture a signal that is a few dB stronger than another co-channel signal, without the weaker signal causing interference. TV, being an AM type signal with one sideband partially suppressed, would suffer more severe interference for the same given signal strengths. Seems odd that the FCC chose to replace FM with TV in this spectra, but they were more politically motivated by RCA than scientifically.

TL;DR: Big business and government conspiring as usual.

[–]E_N_Turnip 2 points3 points ago

How on earth did we get from a facebook poll about video games to a discussion on the FCC FM band allocation?

[–]fpsrandy 5 points6 points ago

then of course they setup some javascript form validation "Required: You must pick one option"

[–]rocketman0739 40 points41 points ago

Why are they called radio buttons?

[–]Cuingamehtar 124 points125 points ago

Because on older radios, when you push a button for a certain radio station all others automatically pop out so that there is only one button pressed.

[–]wtf_apostrophe 59 points60 points ago

When I was younger I was in my parents' car and was intent on pushing two buttons in at the same time. I ended up pushing the whole button assembly inside the radio so it couldn't be used anymore. ಠ_ಠ

[–]Sproutykins 17 points18 points ago

I hated shit like that when I was a kid. I'd break something by accident and knew I was going to be yelled at, so I hid it and then they'd yell at me more. It's awful when I came home, seeing them stood with their arms crossed... 'NOW YOU FUCKED UP, NOW YOU FUCKED UP!'.

From their perspective, though, I was the little bastard who broke their shit. I was seriously repentant, but I ain't got a time machine.

[–]aloneparoo 13 points14 points ago

[–]Goodguy1066 3 points4 points ago

Now I'm going to have to spend hours watching these sketches, thanks a lot Aloneparoo!

[–]Aneurin 2 points3 points ago

I finally closed the Youtube tab and ended up here. I had forgotten that this is where I came from.

[–]MxM111 6 points7 points ago

Usually in this case, you still could press a single button and the rest would pop up. I did it multiple times on multiple devices. Never had experience like you did.

[–]mslade 13 points14 points ago

Despite growing up with these radios, I never knew this. TIL.

[–]Throtex 4 points5 points ago

And if you only kinda pushed in one of the buttons, all of them would pop out and the one you pushed would stay out. That "feature" didn't seem to make its way to the typical radio button GUI.

[–]lolpete 25 points26 points ago

From old car radios, it's referring to the fact that when you pressed one button, any other depressed button would pop up (and hopefully cheer up), making it possible to only hit one at a time.

[–]jewfrothunder 3 points4 points ago

Congratulations on the hopefully cheer up part of that. Made me laugh way more than it should have

[–]notjasonlee 8 points9 points ago

i also know the answer

[–]KachimiGaNai 3 points4 points ago

Because old radio buttons could only be pressed one at a time.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_button

[–]20127010603170562316 3 points4 points ago

From old-fashioned analog radio buttons, where you could only choose one option.

[–]appoaf 5 points6 points ago

Old radios had a row of presets, you can only press one in. If you press another, the other will pop back out.

[–]derblitzmann 4 points5 points ago

It comes from old car radios where a series of buttons that only allowed one button to be pressed at a time. source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_button

[–]Gstrazr 2 points3 points ago

Radio buttons were named after the physical buttons used on older car radios to select preset stations – when one of the buttons was pressed, other buttons would pop out, leaving the pressed button the only button in the "pushed in" position.[citation needed]

[–]zbowling 2 points3 points ago

I always add "I like turtles" page to the list.

[–]CCCPironCurtain 23 points24 points ago

I always add, "I am Agamemnon, King of Greece" to those things.

[–]thatnerdykid 13 points14 points ago

He wasn't King of Greece, though...

[–]LadySpace 11 points12 points ago

He was a king, and he was of Greece. Close enough for me.

spam bot picked up on the words "woman marries". There are a few of them. Some desperate guy named Akbar probably paid $50 to some douche promising lots of calls. That, or when you call him he tries to sell you a laptop.

Note: someone should call and report back what happens. Would be good laughs.

[–]TheCommieDuck 33 points34 points ago

The poster above you says goat, and you say lamb..and he says serbian, you say croatian.

That's confusing.

[–]luksifox 45 points46 points ago

It's a very similar language so it's hard to tell from these words. Because Vuco is a Croatian singer I went with the Croatian language. And it's lamb, not goat.

[–]Beau_Vine 10 points11 points ago

Jutro in polish means tomorrow, in croatian morning; truskavka in Czech means blueberry, and strawberry in polish (jahoda means strawberry in Czech and blueberry in polish just to get the trolling rolling, I presume); slava hvala means "thank you" in Croatian and fame in Polish; szukać and šukat(same pronunciation, different transcription) mean "to look for" and "fuck" in polish and czech respectively etc etc.

Slavic languages use a lot of same roots, or straight up same words - to sometimes mean vastly different things (kind of like Blanc vs Black coming from word flash), because various Slavic countries were very territorial, and a divide/separation occured relatively fast.

[–]grom 8 points9 points ago

Jutro in polish means tomorrow, in croatian morning;

Note however that there are dialects in Croatian where you say "jutri" for tomorrow.

slava means "thank you" in Croatian and fame in Polish

Slava doesn't mean "thank you" in Croatian, it means "fame" (as well as "glory").

[–]Donland 19 points20 points ago

As a Serbian, I say that it is indeed lamb.

[–]Monkatar 30 points31 points ago

Serbian and Croatian are basically the same language with minor differences, like with differences between British and US English. And I think "lamb" is the correct translation.

[–]legba 0 points1 point ago

Serbian and Croatian are basically the same language

Them's fighting words son.

[–]Abstinence_kills 5 points6 points ago

EXCEPT they write in different ways.

Serbian people write in Cyrillic letters, while Croatian people write in Latinic.

For example "српска ћирилица" = serbian cyrillic

In Croatian you'd WRITE** "srpska ćirilica"

[–]TheSmarach 25 points26 points ago

Actually, the Serbian language uses both Latin and Cyrillic alphabets.

[–]aprofondir 0 points1 point ago

Serbian and Croatian is like American English and British English.

[–]potemkinhr 10 points11 points ago

[–]RageMachiner 2 points3 points ago

[–]gkx 102 points103 points ago

It reminds me of MakeUseOf polls.

"Should the iPhone 5 have a larger screen?"

"The iPhone 5 should be destroyed and fuck all Apple products."

That was really good and original discussion, literally the entire MakeUseOf audience.

[–]The_Knowledge 34 points35 points ago

If PC so good; how comes they never made PC2?

[–]maromaro 19 points20 points ago

Kurve, janjetina i VUCO? YAY there's someone from the Balkans here! (ili ne)

[–]potemkinhr 7 points8 points ago

Ma jok :D

[–]Micalovits 217 points218 points ago

Off the consoles that are on the list, i would personally say that the PS2 was the best system, when you think about when it came out. Obviously the PS3 is more powerful, but man, I remember when the PS2 came out... Still has some of the best games ever.

[–]alanthemanofchicago 22 points23 points ago

The more i think about it, the more I agree. It stayed relevant for an incredibly long time.

[–]Geno098 17 points18 points ago

Nothing will ever come close to topping the PS2 library. It's unbelievable how many amazing games they had.

[–]NinjaRobotPilot 16 points17 points ago

At our GameStop, I have to alphabetized the Ps2 section. Please know my pain.

[–]1C3M4Nz 33 points34 points ago

It is difficult since I don't understand the tense of your sentence.

[–]ivanover 19 points20 points ago

He has to do it in the past, just to be ready tomorrow by now.

[–]tgunter 20 points21 points ago

While there are definitely some fantastic games for the PS2 (including several of the best ever made), I'd personally still rank the SNES, PS1, and Dreamcast higher.

[–]Absnerdity 10 points11 points ago

I have to agree with you. PS2 definitely had some wonderful titles, but I love no console more than I love my SNES. It was my first console, not the family console (like our NES, Colecovision or Atari 800XL). I don't think I've played a single console more than I've played my SNES.

4 player Super Bomberman. Months and months straight of Super Mario Kart. Skipping school in grade 7 to play Final Fantasy II (FF4).

Ahh, the good ol' days.

[–]pascalbrax 55 points56 points ago

I dare to put the Dreamcast ahead the PS2... Yeah, I know...

[–]Rainblast 33 points34 points ago

Wasn't the Playstation 1 the most revolutionary though?

The Dreamcast had so much potential, but they really didn't utilize the network capabilities that could have made it a dominant player.

[–]captainAwesomePants 41 points42 points ago

One of the things that made the Dreamcast amazing was the lack of very bad copyright protection. Because of this, the Dreamcast had some of the best and most interesting custom ROMs CD images that did everything from play SNES games to run Linux.

[–]Rainblast 24 points25 points ago

I totally forgot about that.

I worked in a game store while the Dreamcast was out, and we had pirated games and emulators pre-burned that we would sell.

Of course, we were told to be very careful with who we showed them to.

That particular shop was all sorts of shady/scammy.

[–]headbashkeys 12 points13 points ago

Dude, twitch do you got some Mario scratches on the Dreamcast scratches

[–]mkane848 17 points18 points ago

Which is why rampant piracy and low game sales contributed to its death

[–]snoharm 9 points10 points ago

Arguably, that's the same thing that gave the Dreamcast such a short lifespan.

[–]Turnip_Blaster 2 points3 points ago

One of the things that made the Dreamcast amazing was the lack of copyright protection. Because of this, the Dreamcast had some of the best and most interesting custom ROMs

The Dreamcast does indeed have copy protection (which is what I assumed you meant). Piracy was only possible because someone found an exploit in the BIOS regarding the way the Dreamcast handled MIL-CDs. Also don't know anything about any "custom roms" as all homebrew and emulators for the DC was booted from CD-R.

Fun side fact. Towards the end of the consoles run when it was only being manufactured for Japan they did change up the copy protection making all those formerly self booting discs worthless for anyone with the new console. It is still possible to boot unsigned code/warez on those consoles but it requires some messing about.

[–]Crytis 5 points6 points ago

If the Dreamcast had a dvd player it would have demolished the ps2 in japan and would have made for a much different story.

[–]Ceejae 3 points4 points ago

Assuming game library is also a factor in determining the best system of all time, then no.

[–]Chrispanic 7 points8 points ago

True that on the PS2. I have a PS3, the game selection isn't as great as the Xbox 360, or the PS3, but I've gotten more uses out of the PS3 than the Xbox. I can surf the internet (rough, but I've been able to stream Movies and TV shows from sites without worry of a virus). I can also install movie and TV show files on it and watch them any time. No need for apps for news casts like on Xbox (minus youtube which you can still work around). Also blu-ray.

[–]niknarcotic 5 points6 points ago

The PS3 has the best exclusives imo. I only own the Wii of the current generation because of it's low price, though and since Sony won't drop the price of the PS3 I won't buy one anytime soon. I can't see a big selling point for the Xbox 360. It only has Halo and I already didn't like that on the original Xbox. And on top of that MS charges you monthly for their online service and shoves ads down your throat despite of that.

[–]cthonians 4 points5 points ago

SNES. All day, erryday.

[–]benihana68 61 points62 points ago

[–]HongManChoi 46 points47 points ago

Do people still use Xfire? I stopped using that once Steam friends became good.

[–]Antiman1337[!] 14 points15 points ago

Xfire use was very popular pre-2008; I even used it for SWBF2. Unfortunately, Steam and other game-based applets have rendered the program almost completely obsolete.

[–]SicSo 9 points10 points ago

It was a huge client for F2P games, which around pre-2008, had no ingame chat client.

[–]Meersbrook 4 points5 points ago

I use it just to log gaming time.

[–]dirice87 3 points4 points ago

oh god, i forgot how much a piece of shit steam friends was.

[–]riomhaire 5 points6 points ago

Everything about steam used to be such a piece of shit.

[–]HongManChoi 6 points7 points ago

Shit dude, back in the early 2000s, Steam itself used to be HORRIBLE. Such a far cry from the awesome, user-friendly program it is now. People who never used Steam pre-2004 will never understand how much of steaming (ha!) pile of shit it was.

[–]killabee_z 15 points16 points ago

You'll get caught up in the Crossfire!

[–]Arxl 7 points8 points ago

Hey guys, let's focus on the consoles more than the games we play on them.

[–]Servious 88 points89 points ago

Wtf, why is n64 so low?!

[–]SonicFlash01 322 points323 points ago

Not many 14 year olds have N64s

[–]hags2k 9 points10 points ago

Oh, c'mon! It only came out a couple...uh...well...huh, i guess it was sixteen years ago now. Damn.

[–]Arkhothep 94 points95 points ago

Because everyone who still owns one has a slightly worn joystick and it makes them permanently slowly turn to the left when idle

[–]Cabbage_Vendor 66 points67 points ago

Fucking Mario Party, ruined 4/5 of my controllers.

[–]Diiiiirty 22 points23 points ago

Castaways was brutally competitive. I still have scars on my palm from joystick rotations.

[–]prussianiron 11 points12 points ago

Oh man. The first God of War, when you have to rotate the analogs quickly to execute the Minotaurs. I once wore the skin on my palm raw trying to do that stupid thing.

[–]hothrous 36 points37 points ago

You sound like a person who missed the first Mario Party game.

[–]Akumu10 2 points3 points ago

And burned the shit out of my hand.

[–]ooNegativeONEoo 41 points42 points ago

Alright, can I give an honest answer without paying a visit to Oblivion?

1) It was an extremely transitional console. A very necessary step into the 3D world, but without the technology to make it look good. 2D games toward the end of SNES's life cycle were gorgeous compared to even the best N64 titles. Of course the mechanics took a big leap forward, but very few developers had the experience or the intuition to work well with this new dimension. The whole generation was plagued with camera issues and a controller that just didn't have the fine control for shooters. Seriously, try playing Goldeneye with your friends these days. You'll feel like you're trying to shoot a fly with a cork gun.

2) There were very few timeless games. As usual, Nintendo's first party titles were great, and still hold up to today. Rare made some great offerings, and there are a few other scattered hits worth their salt, but that's about it. I don't think I have to tell you that third party support has been an ongoing issue with Nintendo for quite a while, and N64 is where it started.

3) Nintendo held onto cartridges for one generation too many.. The polygon count wasn't there yet, but with disc storage, you could at least beautify things with textures, and improve the atmosphere and presentation with better sound, music, and - if you were lucky - some nice prerendered cutscenes.

I could go on a bit, but I'm already entering TL;DR territory already and I'm not sure how civil the community will be about this violation of the hivemind.

[–]RandomRageNet 12 points13 points ago

You are exactly right. Reddit's prime demographic grew up with this console, whereas it was a little after my time since it came out when I was in high school. I remember when it was called Project Reality and then the Ultra 64!

My nostalgia glasses are solely focused on the SNES (best. Console. Evar!) so I can view the N64 with some objectivity, and you're exactly right.

[–]Servious 3 points4 points ago

Very reasonable and totally makes sense. Thanks for the reply!

[–]rakimallah 5 points6 points ago

But I liked blowing in the consoles! That makes up for all their weaknesses, right?

Just kidding. I think you nailed it. Although I would argue that there are a number of timeless N64 games, depending on how you define "timeless".

  • Ocarina of Time
  • Majora's Mask
  • Super Smash Bros
  • Super Mario 64
  • GoldenEye
  • Mario Kart
  • Star Fox
  • Pokemon Stadium

Some of those are debatable, but I think at least the top six are pretty inarguably "classics", and there are probably some I'm forgetting. How many classics are there from the original Playstation? (This is a genuine question, as I didn't play the PS1.)

[–]sil3ntgh0st 4 points5 points ago

As usual, Nintendo's first party titles were great, and still hold up to today. Rare made some great offerings, and there are a few other scattered hits worth their salt, but that's about it.

All of those games you listed are Nintendo's first party titles or Rare games. I don't think I remember a single game from the N64 era from third parties that are as "timeless" or as "classic."

EDIT: I didn't see your PS1 question so I'll add that here.

I don't know if people would consider these classics or not, but these are the games that I played a lot and loved and have very fond memories of growing up.

In no particular order

  • Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
  • Driver (which I consider the precursor to GTA3 and later)
  • Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX.
  • Gran Turismo
  • Resident Evil series
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Twisted Metal
  • NFL Blitz

I'll even include any variation of Dance Dance Revolution because I can't remember how many times I would go to a party and all my friends would beg me to bring my PS1, dance pads and duct tape to the party for DDR.

My picks are obviously subjective in that they carry the most nostalgia for me and even for a lot of people I know.

[–]stuffingisawesome 7 points8 points ago

Because the people who would take the time to vote in a survey like that are not old enough to remember the n64 in its prime.

[–]praetoriaen 6 points7 points ago

To whom it might concern, Kurve, janjetina I VUCO means "Hookers, lamb meat and Vuco" where Vuco is a nickname.

[–]VreidV3 22 points23 points ago

You don't ask PC gamers what their favorite console is and.. Wait.. Xfire? I haven't used that in years, holy crap.

[–]RobertGryffindor 16 points17 points ago

I signed on for the first time in a few years and not a single friend was on. Have nearly 200 on there.

[–]theimpolitegentleman 5 points6 points ago

This depresses me

[–]Andrewr05 3 points4 points ago

Exactly, I didn't even know they were still around.

...and I was using them side-by-side with Steam for years as well, then one day I came to the conclusion that everyone I talk to was on both services and that Steam could do everything Xfire did.

Screw that, I went to just Steam.

[–]Doctor1337 10 points11 points ago

I enjoy tracking the hours I've wasted on games, and Xfire does that; Steam does not do a good job of it.

[–]MacroPhallus 5 points6 points ago

No love for the Dreamcast?

[–]Dat_Karmavore 4 points5 points ago

Oh man, Xfire, brings me back to many a day spent playing Halo, Combat Evolved.

Good times, man, such good times.

[–]GalaxyJetJackal 4 points5 points ago

Clearly, there's a difference between PC and Pc.

[–]C_Dundee 4 points5 points ago

Where is the GameCube option?

[–]THEsolid85 4 points5 points ago

I ALSO HAVE A SUBJECTIVE OPINION ABOUT WHICH CONSOLE SHOULD BE RANKED HIGHER OR LOWER

[–]Zalitara 18 points19 points ago

Who really gives a shit about the systems? It's the games that matter, and the system really has nothing to do with the games other than let you play them, which means the only thing that really changes are graphics and gimmicky new controllers.

[–]TheWhiteeKnight 20 points21 points ago

A true gamer wouldn't care what system he's playing on, as long as it's games he/she loves to play. Who gives a damn? I have games for Xbox360, PS3, and pc, becaue I like playing them on all systems.

[–]snaek 7 points8 points ago

well pc has the biggest games library, not to mention cheaper game prices, some of which come at the low price of free.

also in the case of pc, the system arguably plays a big role, since its an open system allowing customization, mods and the such.

[–]zombiezelda 21 points22 points ago

Wii :(

[–]gargi93 3 points4 points ago

kurve i janjetina xaxaxax

[–]binaryecho 3 points4 points ago

This has all the validity of a Fox News poll.

[–]Tibyon 5 points6 points ago

The clear answer is SNES, in terms of how big of a jump it was from what already existed. It also came out at a price point that made it more acceptable than other comparable systems, such as the Jaguar. It also had many games that either improved on old formulas in extreme ways (Mega Man, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island) and new types of games (F-zero, Star Fox).

[–]Hyphnip 28 points29 points ago

Who the fuck thinks 360 is a better console than SNES? Seriously.

[–]textanddrive 11 points12 points ago

Everyone.

[–]PrayForMojo_ 27 points28 points ago

Kids who never experienced SNES. You can't blame them for their ignorance, only feel sorry for them.

[–]12831921241243 54 points55 points ago

So they're ignorant just because they never owned a SNES? i owned one, and i enjoy playing my xbox way more than the snes. The games are better, and it's easier to play with friends.

[–]pgrily 34 points35 points ago

SNES loads games faster

checkmate

[–]AsDevilsRun 14 points15 points ago

Are you counting the mandatory "eject, blow into cartridge, re-insert," because that takes away some crucial gaming seconds?

[–]pgrily 8 points9 points ago

Psh, Xbox would still be showing that startup screen before going to the dashboard where you can finally start the game.

PLUS, my SNES doesn't destroy my cartridges when it gets knocked around.

[–]seluropnek 4 points5 points ago

I did this a lot with the NES, but almost never had to with the SNES.

[–]ated9000 57 points58 points ago

This is /r/gaming, where nostalgia overrides logic.

[–]lhk91 5 points6 points ago

I honestly thought this was a joke but then I realised where I am.

[–]FalmerbloodElixir 12 points13 points ago

Or, people who actually like the Xbox 360 more than the SNES.

I know this is a hard concept for /r/gaming to grasp.

[–]Rosetti 6 points7 points ago

Tell me about it. Obviously a console from 20 years ago is much better than one made today.

[–]Adamsoski 5 points6 points ago

To be fair, it definitely has more processing power, better graphics, newer games, and you can do more stuff with it (internets etc.).

[–]hexgrex 5 points6 points ago

should be SNES as #1 (after PC ofc)

[–]jimbo831 0 points1 point ago

How is the Playstation 2 possibly ranked 7th? Completely invalidates the entire poll. I never even owned one myself, but come on.

[–]unicornon 2 points3 points ago

..PS2, or maybe SNES, I suppose.

[–]Eslader 2 points3 points ago

No votes for the Atari 2600? ;)

[–]kami0ncina 2 points3 points ago

For all of you wondering who is VUCO, here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEwYHLvwW30

[–]zombiebunnie 2 points3 points ago

Interesting.. interesting... since isn't Xfire only on pc?

[–]GordontheGiraffe 0 points1 point ago

People still use Xfire?

[–]alekzander01 0 points1 point ago

And they say console players are stupid.... (am shocked that the PS2 didnt beat all of them, no matter how good the 360 or PS3 or even PC are, the PS2 has over 1000 diffrent-awesome-games!)
