In utero, the lower limbs initially face the same way as our arms in terms of joints. During development, the lower limbs twist into their final form. I guess with this deformity, something prevents this twisting?

I saw someone like this is Paris last year. It was the kind of situation when I really wanted to take a photo of her, but at the same time felt that it was wrong, so I didn't :(

She was walking around a pretty dirty part of Paris, with her face really close to the pavement, couldn't help but think what it must be like when she walks past dog shit and things like that. She didn't have a wheelchair or anything, not sure why.
