Approximately this ensued, with the guy doing a hand-stand over the offender's hood, and sticking the landing on the other side. He then walked around and punched the driver in the face. I guess the driver knew he had it coming, as charges for the punch were not filed.

                                                                                                      A few big reasons I can think of:

                                                                                                      • In some countries, access to vehicles has only recently become widespread. This results in a lot of relatively inexperienced drivers on the road due to the extremely rapid economic development of these regions.
                                                                                                      • In many of these countries, safety laws and maintenance regulations are lax and go unenforced. Many of the more shocking accident videos I've seen out of Asia originate in negligent maintenance of vehicles that were built decades ago. You might have, for example, a bus being driven in India that was built in the 1960s, poorly maintained, and carrying 40 more passengers than it was designed to handle.
                                                                                                      • Road maintenance and warning signs are also lacking in these regions.
                                                                                                      • Finally, in many of these countries drivers treat existing traffic laws as optional.

                                                                                                          I've driven in Kuwait and can report that on most main roads people pay no attention to the lines and drive fast as hell. I don't recall ever seeing a police pull anyone over. They usually just show up to the horrific accidents afterward.

                                                                                                          I lived in Korea for a year, and they ignore lane lines as well. It wasn't chaotic really, but coming from a driver in NJ it didn't make sense how there weren't a crazy number of accidents.

                                                                                                                        I feel sorry for the passenger on the cycle, as there's really nothing you can do if the person giving you a ride decides to be a complete ass and speed through traffic. The guy actually driving the cycle? Had it coming... nobody rides fast in city traffic and enjoys a long life as a cyclist. It was simply a matter of time.

                                                                                                                                        I've watched this several times. I don't see any movement, and it looks to me as if both on the motorcycle died. What is driving me nuts is, I can't find any backstory on this. Not where it happened, or if either actually survived. There is one post of the same video from 2010, so perhaps it's old news, but I am going to have trouble sleeping tonight for wondering.
