Med student here. This is most probably not the natural color of the tongue, rather a stained slice of a butterfly's tongue. This was most likely accomplished using a fluorescent dye. The dye is used to mark different parts of the cells (specifically the basal lamina, goblet cells, basement membrane etc.).
