Yawn. This isn't remotely biblical. No man, woman or child on earth can earn God's favour any more than the next. Only through accepting Christ's sacrifice, the bible says, can we enter relationship with God. A sin is a sin, and christians and atheists, no matter their personality, beliefs or actions, are equal in that respect. God doesn't 'prefer' any one person from the next.

Right, bring on the down votes people. After-all, everybody hates a Christian perspective on Reddit, right?

A tough-guy statement? This is the internet... How can you look tough?! It's just been my brutal experience that anything remotely christian gets downvoted into oblivion on principle. I just whole-heartedly expected the same response for this post because that's all I've ever known. So yeah, I made that assumption, but it blissfully transpires I've been proved wrong... which is pretty cool.

People are not downvoting because you're Christian, it's because it's asinine. You can make a completely valid point, but the fact that you're Christian simply has no bearing on that. Keep going with that persecution complex though, I'm sure you have it rough.

Yeah, I don't have a persecution complex, and I certainly don't have it rough. I am blessed to live in a world where people can believe what they want freely, without others stepping in and enforcing values that contradict their personal understandings. I don't think it can be argued, however, that most degrees of religious input on Reddit find a less than welcoming environment. Either way, yes, my Christianity bears absolutely no impact on the comment I made, which is impartial. Anyway, if anything is asinine it's back and forths on the internet trying to proof one's correctness. We're probably both on the same page here, so I'll stop talking.

Go back to /r/atheism. Everyone needs to stop pretending like religion is evil. Its not. There are an estimated 4 million christian churches in the world. Why do you think that the actions of one represent the actions of all?
