"John lost both his arms in a freak accident. Prayer made them grow again"

-Said no one ever.

[–]tomswartz07 39 points40 points ago

A super stimpak will fix John right up.

[–]STUN_Runner 10 points11 points ago

"Aw, yeah, that's the stuff..."

[–]pinkytheunicorn 4 points5 points ago

That shit makes you die faster.

[–]The_Artist_Formally 4 points5 points ago

WORTH IT

[–]STUN_Runner 0 points1 point ago

Especially if you've medics nearby.

[–]Jeroknite 12 points13 points ago

Hydra.

[–]MLPxPenguins 2 points3 points ago

Doctors Bag or some Buffout

[–]pseudonym1066 16 points17 points ago

Wait I can't understand if the picture is an onion-style satire or not. Don't tell me this is real. America? What have you done to yourself?

[–]LapuaMag 10 points11 points ago

Yes, this is real. Unfornuately this is not surprising to me, nor is it uncommon.

[–]cheapinvite1 0 points1 point ago

Wait! Will praying cure my ugly?

[–]Big-Sexy 5 points6 points ago

You know you live in America when this doesn't surprise you.

[–]Aoife246 0 points1 point ago

Poe's Law

[–]Gracksploitation 7 points8 points ago

Not a very convincing argument in response of a pamphlet that says "Granville suffered ANOTHER brain haemorrhage and died 3 times. After prayer, he came alive."

[–]mishpat 6 points7 points ago

I am sorry, but Christians make this claim already.

[–]Mr0Mike0 4 points5 points ago

well, we all know how much credibility they have.

[–]guy_lovejoy 4 points5 points ago

False: people can say things that are not true,

[–]Aavagadrro 2 points3 points ago

No they cannot. Everything you read, see and hear is 100% factual, real, and truthful, only the devil, the satan of Hades can lie and deceive.

[–]kngkeeper 0 points1 point ago

My ass is a unicorn!

[–]Aavagadrro 0 points1 point ago

Awesome, I bet anal with you is very interesting.

[–]meantamrajean 3 points4 points ago

If they paid a lil more to the church and prayed harder god would heal them.

[–]thew22 2 points3 points ago

You can be damn sure though that if medical science does come up with a way to restore limbs in the future, it will be attributed to God's infinite mercy by some of those that benefit. Its funny how the Lord's healing ability has improved so much in recent times.

[–]Mr0Mike0 3 points4 points ago

It's retarded.

Was it good? It was god.

Was it bad? You didn't pray hard enough.

[–]hat678 3 points4 points ago

Don't give the charlatans any ideas.

[–]brainburger 2 points3 points ago

Yeah, the Inspiral Carpets were much better anyway.

[–]Altiondsols 45 points46 points ago

[citation needed]

[–]Grinstall 28 points29 points ago

Wait, why did Granville have to be prayed back to life three times?

[–]Mr0Mike0 36 points37 points ago

god was fucking with him.

[–]Grindstone50k 3 points4 points ago

I feel like that's when a medic in BF rezzes a player, then shoots him, then rezzes him, then shoots him...

[–]Aavagadrro 1 point2 points ago

That is farming... so apparently god is a farmer.

[–]Nikiyols 6 points7 points ago

God is a fucking spawncamper.

[–]Aavagadrro 0 points1 point ago

God uses wallhacks to watch you masturbate.

[–]Grindstone50k 6 points7 points ago

Noob keeps getting in over his head. Now his family is all out of diamond dust. Hope he doesn't die again.

[–]pheonixvl 2 points3 points ago

There's always the possibility of a miracle spell, that only costs xp.

[–]KankleBiter -3 points-2 points ago

Kojkhmjmmlokmk

[–]zoltek 3 points4 points ago

Because... suck it, jesus

[–]shake3000 2 points3 points ago

Yes, he died, he prayed, and came back to life. Three times! Amazing!

[–]teabean 1 point2 points ago

He didn't donate enough money pray hard enough the first two times.

[–]nicktothek 16 points17 points ago

I just busted a gut laughing so hard

[–]Admiral_Hakbar 45 points46 points ago

Well I'll pray for your gut. Hopefully it unbusts.

[–]Grinstall 27 points28 points ago

His gut is incompatible with being intact.

[–]vsTerminus 2 points3 points ago

I just busted a nut laughing so hard

[–]Alexander-Hypnose 17 points18 points ago

Isn't it illegal to have medical claims like that on a billboard?

[–]Jeroknite 14 points15 points ago

That is a pamphlet.

[–]torville 16 points17 points ago

But still not one lousy regrown limb...

[–]GuranaAddict 22 points23 points ago

God can cure autism now? That tricky bastard.

[–]loganj94 22 points23 points ago

God gives someone autism just to cure it. Logic.

[–]tries_and_fails 8 points9 points ago

Dwight Schrute raises his cholesterol just so he can lower it, so yes it is true that God creates autism just to heal it.

[–]MPsai 3 points4 points ago

Though there are some people who will tell you anything from birth defects to miscarriages happen because sin exists.

[–]Aavagadrro 2 points3 points ago

Plus global warming is a lie, the earth is flat and we live in a terrarium so the Apollo moon landings never happened because aliens.

[–]adcantu 0 points1 point ago

Holy shit. It all makes sense now. Fucking aliens.

[–]Aavagadrro 0 points1 point ago

Snake headed aliens control the oil business, JFK lives in Scotland with Janis Joplin, and we never went to the moon...

[–]Grinstall 0 points1 point ago

Here I thought it was the vaccinations.

[–]falcy 3 points4 points ago

And the sin is punishment for us because a girl who didn't know right from wrong nibbled an apple some aeons ago because a talking snake told her it is ok?

That guy can certainly hold his grudge for the human species. Even after drowning all the mankind once, and torturing his favorite son to death as skapegoat we still get punished.

How lucky are we that she didn't nibble 2 apples? You would probably have born without fingers and eyes and in constant pain from your congenital skeletal problems.

[–]utnapistim 0 points1 point ago

Do not ascribe such an unfair act to god!

It was for the sins of their parents and forefathers - seven generations ago.

[–]CeeDiddy82 5 points6 points ago

One time on Facebook someone said they witnessed god heal downs syndrome. I asked that person if he realized downs has to do with chromosomes and that person would have had to have been changed on a molecular level. I asked for the medical journal that showed this transformation.

The guy came back and said the person healed was him. His preacher told him God healed him and the doctors can't see but those who truly believe can see he is healed.

Which is probably the most irresponsible thing the pastor could have done. What if he is prescribed medicine and he stops taking it because he thinks he's "cured"?

[–]ghostfox1_gfaqs 1 point2 points ago

People with HIV/AIDS were told to stop taking meds for it in britain recently, by religious nuts.

[–]CeeDiddy82 3 points4 points ago

Well, if they are stupid enough to believe that shit, maybe they should stop taking the meds and not pass on their learned ignorance.

In fact, if you're religious and over the age of 18 with no mental handicaps (besides being religious) then you should be denied all modern medicine and told to just pray. If you're going to be ignorant by choice then you can be dead by choice.

[–]Big-Sexy 1 point2 points ago

They're stupid, but they don't deserve a death sentence. Actually, some aren't really even stupid, but are terrified of the finality of death.

[–]Sarpedono 4 points5 points ago

Fucker. I will kill him for saying I need some fucking cure

[–]GuranaAddict 3 points4 points ago

God works in... Haha I can't even type it seriously.

[–]Sarpedono 1 point2 points ago

Ha. What fun for you. But I got christian eugenicist whackjobs breathing down my back calling me a diseased retard because I don't act how they want me to.

[–]Aavagadrro 0 points1 point ago

Want me to pay em a visit, give em an offer they cant refuse, and rub em out? I have some lube and a fleshlight handy...

[–]Sarpedono 0 points1 point ago

Depends if you want to embarrass someone who has an Autistic son and called Autistic people psychopaths on National Television.

[–]globalchill 5 points6 points ago

[–]deathgrinderallat 1 point2 points ago

The internet works in mysterius ways. And /r/wtf liked it. Good thing it was the same poster

[–]Novanator5 8 points9 points ago

"Incompatible with life"? What doctor would say that, ever? S/he would state what is wrong with the child, what conditions she has, not that she's simply "incompatible". That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

[–]shagohod999 5 points6 points ago

This is actually a common phrase used to describe conditions which would cause either termination in utero or death very soon after birth. Renal agenesis, for example, is incompatible with life.

[–]supermonkey1313 4 points5 points ago

[citation needed]

Edit: apparently someone else made this comment already. Gotta F5 next time.

[–]gndn 3 points4 points ago

The Rachael one is plausible, but they aren't even trying with the others.

[–]PKMKII 3 points4 points ago

Trevor and Leila are white and black, yet their daughter is hispanic. Impossible is possible with God!

[–]h-v-smacker 3 points4 points ago

A MAN DEAD FOR THREE DAYS PRAYS HIMSELF BACK TO LIFE AND WALKS OUT OF MORGUE TO LEARN ABOUT HIS PROMOTION TO SENIOR MANAGER. MORE AT ELEVEN.

[–]SinofOmission 4 points5 points ago

I like how the range of miracles goes from "Raised from the dead three times" to "Doesn't feel as bad about dead brother."

[–]spookypen 3 points4 points ago

I don't think I'm compatible with life either.

[–]mksmothers 3 points4 points ago

John previously had Down's syndrome. After his church committed to prayer and fasting, he is now chromosomal normal. --Said no one ever.

[–]abtei 4 points5 points ago

No, i think it was doing fine on r/WTF o_O

[–]CommanderShep 2 points3 points ago

I like how he died three times.Three.not one.not two.three

[–]Hiding_behind_you 2 points3 points ago

Does that make him better than Jesus, who only died twice?

[–]TheRealTrevor 3 points4 points ago

Once again, I am the real Trevor, that guy is a fake. Don't listen to a word he says!

[–]trekbette 2 points3 points ago

And I am guessing that scientists instantly jumped on this, recreated the results and picked up their Nobel prize on the way to the bank with the billions they made healing everyone in the world... with prayer.

Oh, wait. That didn't ever happen.

[–]petzl20 3 points4 points ago

Cures autism and food allergies? Someone's gotta get this to Jenny McCarthy right away.

[–]Quazz 1 point2 points ago

Pls no. The situation is already bad enough as it is.

[–]Belifax 1 point2 points ago

Still stuck on Granville.

[–]TotallyNotThatOneGuy 1 point2 points ago

After posts of severe retardism, TotallyNotThatOneGuy was diagnosed with cancer. Through prayer, he got himself killed.

[–]mountainmarmot 1 point2 points ago

Died three times? Is this man a cat?

[–]TheLizardKing89 2 points3 points ago

One of these things is not like the others.

[–]amadorUSA 0 points1 point ago

Trevor and Leila had a threesome?

[–]brainburger 0 points1 point ago

Disgusting liars.

[–]BuddhaLennon 1 point2 points ago

Cool. Funny how none of us have seen this reported in any scientific or medical journals. Another example of Christian persecution, or another example of Christian fabrication/confabulation?

[–]kildog 0 points1 point ago

Would probably be better posting it to /r/bullshit

[–]heb0 0 points1 point ago

Rachael needs to pick up the slack. Everyone else just makin' her look bad.

[–]S-BRO 1 point2 points ago

"S-BRO read this pamphlet and after seeing it was full of fail, had a severe haemorrhage and died multiple times."

[–]udbluehens 0 points1 point ago

I wont stop until the world puts all of this stuff in r/wtf, and everyone is fine with that.

[–]mmsood99 0 points1 point ago

All irrelevant. Not a single verifiable fact in the whole poster. Might as well substitute the phrase "playing air guitar" for "prayer".

[–]rasungod0 0 points1 point ago

but all of those ailments could have been cured naturally by the immune system, no god needed.

[–]slynkyminx 1 point2 points ago

"by playing air guitar"

Where do I sign up for this religion of yours? And more to the point, will there be cookies?

[–]mmsood99 1 point2 points ago

Easy sign up. We are between the "waving magic wand" and "whisk up batch of cookies" booths (just across from the "make it up as you go along " pavilion) lol

[–]falcy 0 points1 point ago

"incompatible with life"

Which is more probable?

  1. The doctors made a mistake
  2. God appeared from nothing and fixed her

[–]willer2122 0 points1 point ago

If that actually worked, someone would patent it.

[–]knighmare 0 points1 point ago

If someone hands this to you two words will make them shut up "prove it"

[–]Caddy666 0 points1 point ago

how do they get away with advertising this shit?

[–]Ogel6000 0 points1 point ago

my exact reaction:

[–]DragonTycoon 0 points1 point ago

So if I fill a bidet with Holy Water, I'll be cleansed of my shotgun diarrhea?

[–]ltuae42 0 points1 point ago

how does someone pray when they're dead?

[–]wayndom 0 points1 point ago

It's too bad prayer isn't powerful enough to cure people who are so stupid that they actually believe this shit...

[–]Tankverso 0 points1 point ago

I almost fell out of my chair at the "Granville died 3 times"

[–]DaMangaka 0 points1 point ago

In 1984, Granville suffered another brain haemorrhage and died 3 times.

He died 3 times and revived. Either he's Jesus Christ reborn or as they say on the nets "Cool Story Bro".

Really? This is more than stupid, it's plain insulting.

[–]space_beard 0 points1 point ago

Best one is the guy that died not once, but 3 times! Hahahaha this was awesome hahahaha

[–]Joedang100 0 points1 point ago

Quote of the day: "Impossible is possible with god."

[–]madmoose -1 points0 points ago

Zombo.com is God!

[–]donandino 0 points1 point ago

Rachael got the shittiest miracle.
