I'm thinking about getting a fox, I know there are many factors to consider but generally would you suggest I get a fennec fox or one of those domesticated Siberian ones? I'd say fennecs are attractive in the sense that they are mind blowingly cute but a domesticated fox is more like a medium-sized dog, so I'm assuming would last longer on walks and be more active?

My fennec fox is generally extremely hyper and near-impossible to catch against her will, so I would not advise walks unless you know if you drop the leash you'll never see it again. She makes an excellent house-pet, and due to her small size she consumes less food, and with a diet like a fennec fox's, the money adds up. I suppose it comes down to what you're looking for, something domesticated, or something still a bit untamed.

I definitely wouldn't want to lose someone that I'm sure I'd develop a strong bond with, so I think a more domesticated version would put my mind at ease :P Also how much did she cost? And how did you find someone that sold them? Thanks for the help.

She came from a breeder in Washington, P.A. For around $350. I believe the price has since went up a good bit, however.
