So I personally know the guy in the photo.. He is quite an interesting character. He did this for a show that was for "shock value" and took it out later that day. The holes healed up within a week. His name is mike, you can look him up on the Interweb under "diabolic". He is an ex MMA fighter, turned tattoo artist/piercer. He did these piercings to himself for his portfolio along with several other shock value piercings. I showed him that his picture went viral and he thought it was pretty cool. This was on Facebook earlier today as well. If anyone needs any more background let me know. Again, he doesn't live like this, this was a temporary thing for the sake of a show and for his piercing portfolio.

Nah, he had several people offering to sponsor him, he was one of the top fighters in Miami, he quit the game after the steel mesh in his abdomen began shifting and risking ripping through his skin. He still trains people and is friends with quite a few pros and their coaches. I've trained with him and he's no joke.
