Ex-falconer here. I came here as soon as I saw the juvenile kestrel and hope to deliver some solid advises.

First: at this stage, this little guy will need a lot of canxi from bone. Feed him with grounded quails or pigeon so he can get the susbstantial amount of canxi to develope. Fail to do so, you might kill this little guy after 2-3 weeks due to malnutrition.

Second: take him to a nearby falconry center for check up and if possible, leave him to the hand of an expericenced falconer. Falconry is serious sport, it's extremely time comsuming and need a lot of commitment. It would be best to leave him for somebody who can take care of him probably so he could be rehabbed or fly to hunt games, not tied up to a pole for the rest of his life.

We saved one of these guys from evil crows when he and his siblings fledged too soon. The crows ate his sibs but we took him in time and raised him to adulthood. We fed him grasshoppers, then raw hamburger. He was such a cool bird. We then set him free when we thought he could survive. We named him Archie. He was by far the most interesting pet I ever had.
