In breeding season, lions have sex around 24 times a day...

[–]rubymatrix 20 points21 points ago

They also have a barbed penis, so breaking a condom would be likely.

[–]James_M 9 points10 points ago

Or breaking a lioness' vagina...

[–]MrDTD 9 points10 points ago

Think more cat's tongue then barbed wire, evolution is odd as fuck.

[–]EpicJ 7 points8 points ago

If I remember from a /r/science comment section it is to clear the semen out to allow more cats to have sex and increase biological diversity

[–]Chazzey_dude 3 points4 points ago

Ducks do this, but they have brushes. They need to clear out the old sperm so that they can send their guys in.

[–]shadow386 2 points3 points ago

They also have a spiral penis.

[–]VengefulOctopus 1 point2 points ago

and it regrows every season.

[–]BatXDude 0 points1 point ago

Or breaking it bad.

I always know when it's that time of the year again, when people start complaining about lotion prices.

[–]Shamthis 4 points5 points ago

Not too much when you consider they last about five seconds.

[–]cranberry94 1 point2 points ago

Then I guess it is possible that Simba and Nala could have done the deed in those few seconds of field rolling/eye gazing/face licking.

You could fault a lion for moving so quickly on the first date, but who can say no to "Can You Feel the Love Tonight"? Not this girl.

My boyfriend was lucky to find that stumble across that weakness.

[–]BatXDude 0 points1 point ago

You last five seconds. :(

[–]BatXDude 0 points1 point ago

On a downer, I have sex about 24 times a day.

[–]Langly- 0 points1 point ago

How would Lion Jack Bauer ever manage to save the day.

[–]xnerdyxrealistx 32 points33 points ago

TIL Lions have sex in missionary position.

[–]opus666 9 points10 points ago

They certainly don't do it doggy position.

[–]banana_pirate 11 points12 points ago

Slimy yet satisfying.

[–]MarcoPolol 2 points3 points ago

Awesome.

[–]chuchummm 29 points30 points ago

If you think about it, Simba's kind of sexy.

[–]B33mo 26 points27 points ago

I don't have to think to be attracted to that pussy.

[–]furrymcyiffyiff 3 points4 points ago

Damn straight!

[–]is_that_a_question 1 point2 points ago

Definitely. Disney has always been pretty good at giving animals human characteristics.

[–]TerryArchi 17 points18 points ago

Oh my god, they had sex? No way.

I wonder what their daughter Kiara would think.

[–]Asiansensationz 10 points11 points ago

Childhood is crumbling everyday on Reddit

[–]Xforce 1 point2 points ago

Also, Nala is either simba's half sister or cousin since they are from the same pride and scar and mufasa are brothers.

[–]AlterBridgeFan 7 points8 points ago

Older than your mother.

[–]CoffeeFox 7 points8 points ago

If you want to look at The Lion King in an entirely different way, try finding a good Marxist literary criticism of the plot.

Just off the top of my head, Simba's family easily represents an aristocratic ruling class, and Scar exploits a wealth disparity (made evident by the hunger displayed by the hyenas), to create a popular uprising.

Not only is this interesting for the way it parallels actual socialist revolts, but it's also fairly sinister given the consideration that the "happy ending" is restoring things to the authority of the wealthy and privileged, which is portrayed as right and proper... a theme I think you'd see fairly often in Disney films, if you pay close attention.

I could probably fit in a fair number of other subtle, disturbing "morals" about socioeconomics in the resolution of the plot, given the time.

tl;dr - Disney films advocate the moral superiority of plutocracy.

That's what happens when you put on a condom with motherfuckin claws!

That scene always struck me as dirty, even at 9.

[–]thewifething 2 points3 points ago

Let me make it worse. My husband's penis is named Simba.

[–]FoxInASuit 1 point2 points ago

What

[–]thewifething 0 points1 point ago

My husband named his penis Simba.

Right click > Open link in incognito window

Yup. That was a wise decision.

[–]Daniel_Laixer 3 points4 points ago

Am I the only one who has the internet history permanently disabled?

[–]pathary 13 points14 points ago

Yes, you are the only one. That's why the Chrome devs were actually thinking of taking out this feature because they noticed only one user actually took advantage of it.

[–]Daniel_Laixer 0 points1 point ago

Duh silly me, I though Chrome/Chromium let you disable browsing history like Firefox does but they simply have the Incognito window...

[–]banana_pirate 7 points8 points ago

It's the young versions of them actually fucking, you've been warned.

[–]parker214 2 points3 points ago

Thank you.

[–]StewieBanana 1 point2 points ago

Lions don't fuck like that...

[–]SkarabianKnight 0 points1 point ago

Well yeah if you take this one shot completely out of the context of the movie it COULD ruin it for you.

[–]tatsumakisenpuukyaku 1 point2 points ago

They'll certainly be able to feel the love tonight

[–]Hefeweize -1 points0 points ago

Someone give me reasons how I condom would break?

[–]crackalack 1 point2 points ago

If this is a serious question: friction pulling it in one direction and your member pushing it in the other. Invest in good condoms.

[–]WeldingMouse 0 points1 point ago

It gets lonely at Pride Rock when the only male is a power-crazed egomaniac. The lionesses have to make do.

[–]AlanKey -1 points0 points ago

Right on my childhood...

[–]mbn8807 0 points1 point ago

This is one of the perfect captions that makes me actually laugh on this subreddit, thanks.

[–]hyperhero93 0 points1 point ago

Call me weird but out of all disney females i would totally fuck nola over any of them

[–]AngelicIce 0 points1 point ago

It'll never be same to me because my friend told me her first time was while watching it... -.-"

[–]BatmanBabe93 0 points1 point ago

The internet (especially Reddit) is determined to completely ruin my childhood.

[–]imaskydiver 0 points1 point ago

This makes me wish I actually read the titles

[–]phaeton_didnt_quit 0 points1 point ago

they're also siblings.

[–]TribalTea 0 points1 point ago

Childhood has left the building.

[–]brmmm 0 points1 point ago

Wait, wait.. Condoms on lions?

[–]Frat_Panda 1 point2 points ago

Actually when the male lion takes over the pride he kills all of the offspring that aren't his. So technically that's Simba's sister.

[–]BadFont777 0 points1 point ago

I clicked on this just to see if it was a clever change. YOU LOSE! RESTART LEVEL?

[–]snipsnip 0 points1 point ago

Is it even possible to notice the condom breaking?

[–]RegalCabbage 1 point2 points ago

In all honesty, I re-watched it (it's my favorite movie) a few months ago and realized that they were probably fucking during that scene. As a furry, it's needless to say this made my experience that much better.

[–]catcrazylady 1 point2 points ago

Simba's grown up voice is sexy!

[–]bigtreeworld 0 points1 point ago

That's Matthew Broderick (aka Ferris Bueller)

[–]catcrazylady 0 points1 point ago

Oh! I didn't know that,I'm not sure that makes me happy lol!

[–]cactuar44[!] 0 points1 point ago

Mathew Broderick? Ewwwwww

Better than JTT I guess...

[–]Spira9 0 points1 point ago

God damn that lick she gave him..

no furry.

[–]bogardi -1 points0 points ago

At least Sarabi is cool with it.

[–]irishwolf713 15 points16 points ago

That's Nala, not Sarabi. Sarabi was Simba's mother.

[–]Juliendnb 15 points16 points ago

An important distinction.

[–]Phoequinox -1 points0 points ago

Not really when you consider all the other rampant incest in that movie.

[–]cranberry94 5 points6 points ago

Most of the pages I found when I Googled the incest in The Lion King were factually inaccurate.

The most obvious being the claim that in The Lion King 2, Simba's daughter, Kiara, falls in love with Scar's son, Kovu. It is clearly stated in the movie that Kovu was the adopted son of Scar, and not blood related.

But the usual question of incest involves whether Mufasa was the father of Nala. In a traditional lion pride, this would be assumed. But this is not the case. Mufasa is not the father of Nala.

Minkoff and Allers then mentioned how they'd joked about this during production, tossed around some off-color gags, and eventually decided that they just "hoped nobody would notice".

The writers played around with designing Nala's father, but decided to scrap the character's presence in the movie.

So there is no incest in The Lion King.

[–]Phoequinox 0 points1 point ago

Huh. I never saw the second movie, so I just rode the winds of confusion on the subject.

[–]Juliendnb 0 points1 point ago

Really? It's been a while since I watched it but I don't remember that at all.

[–]Phoequinox -1 points0 points ago

Look online about it. It's not blatant, of course. But once you put things together, it starts to get a bit disturbing.

[–]Juliendnb 3 points4 points ago

Disney films always had this weird disturbing undertone that you completely overlook the first time.

[–]AlexDorsey1 0 points1 point ago

Sex......

[–]wigglepiggle 1 point2 points ago

[–]Anaract 0 points1 point ago

someone put a caption on a screencap and it ruined the movie for you?

[–][deleted] ago

[–]digitalbender -5 points-4 points ago

You beat me to it!

[–]Dtumnus -2 points-1 points ago

Also, they are half siblings.

[–]cranberry94 5 points6 points ago

They aren't.

Mufasa is not the father of Nala. The writer's played around with designing Nala's father, but ultimately decided it was unnecessary and scrapped it, hoping no one would notice.

"Minkoff and Allers then mentioned how they'd joked about this during production, tossed around some off-color gags, and eventually decided that they just "hoped nobody would notice"."

—The Lion King Tenth Anniversary Reunion Panel

[–]Dtumnus 0 points1 point ago

Well, you know I'm real life they would be. I didn't know that about the panel and her having a different dad. It was never mentioned in the movie.

[–]cranberry94 1 point2 points ago

Well, in real life a lot of things would have been different. Adult male lions wouldn't share a pride. Mufasa wouldn't have one "wife" lioness. Simba wouldn't have survived on bugs and grown to a strong strapping lion.

But still, I do understand where you are coming from. In a real life setting, Simba and Nala would be half siblings. But also in real life, that wouldn't be a big deal.
