I don't think you fully carve them out just make the "flesh" extremely thin, make some areas thicker so it doesn't collapse and the light will shine through.

I'm not American and often call people on shit like this. It's so simple and overplayed, but people keep making these jokes. They think they're clever and edgy, when they actually just possess basic associative skills.

I promise you I could make a 3-year-old make jokes like these just by putting him/her in front of a computer and say "if there's a watermelon in the picture, write 'black people'." People would still upvote it because they think it's clever.

This also has its roots in slavery. Slaves weren't able to raise more expensive meats, and were allowed to have chickens, so frying chickens became a common occurrence on special occasions throughout black communities in the south.1 Thus fried chicken as a preferred meal was inherited throughout generations. COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC BUT funny story about the riders. I went to a game, and sat next to Durant's wife. Can't remember which game, but it was last year, and Durant was playing horrible. I really just wanted to scream at him, but didn't want his wife to be like "WTF U JUST SAY ABOUT MY HUNNY BOO BOO??" so I kept my mouth shut. Eventually, his wife just got up and screamed at him get his head in the game.. I laughed at that for a good while... hehehehehe.

Really? haha you must've had good seats. Last game I went to I got Wes Cates' autograph (I know he retired). I spotted him ahead of the crowd filing out (our crushing first loss to Hamilton this year to go 3-1) and nobody in the mob knew who he was. I was very very drunk and loudly demanded a sharpie - a girl promised I give it back. Me and my friend ripped through the crowd and caught him at a gate. Once he had signed my hat and my friends' jersey he attempted to give it back - I said "Nope - you're going to need this". I loudly shouted "ITS WES CATES!" and the mob turned on him like a Cymbol-Monkey in zombies. I still feel like an ass...

Carve from the BOTTOM. Use a small electric light or battery powered light (Battery powered is better. cooler does not dry things out as much.) Same pumpkin that made the Jack-o-lantern can also be the Pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving and Christmas and the pumpkin cake for New Years. Saves money, because you only have to buy ONE pumpkin. My Mom would not have bought ANY, she would have saved a few of the seeds out of that one and planted them in the spring.
